Night

Once I was in my room, I never wanted to leave! The hotel's theme gives you the illusion that it is night even during the day. I requested a late check out due to a late check in and they obliged. The room was very modern and comfortable. The perks included a print out of the weather forecast, chocolates on your pillow and numerous glossy magazines […] which you can take with you! checked into my room - housekeeping had not cleaned the drain in shower -- full of black hair of previous tenant. yuck.

Saw the hotel, saw the shoe box of a room and extra small bed that would fit the average sized man and checked out in less than 30 minutes. decor was awful. music pumping through the hallways was awful. the service, however, was great and friendly. its ashame the place is so lame because the people were great.

Room is small but good for staying one night. Service is good, walkable distance to Lincoln center, central park and shops. The complimentary breakfast is not good but edible.

I am a big business traveler and have stayed in a million hotels of new york hotels. As I was booking 5 days this time and bringing my husband, I thought I would try somewhere new and hopefully exciting. What a mistake. We knew even before we arrived it would be a disaster as I called the day before and politely asked that we be able to check in early […] as I needed to do work on my day off. They "accidentally" hung up on me. When I called back, they were annoyed. When I came with all my luggage the next day, they said they would call our cell number when the room was ready. Check in was 3 PM. We showed back up at 4, clearly we were forgotten and no one cared. The design is pretty awful, its like a cheap European hotel that has missed the mark. They tried to be cool, but its just ugly and not in good taste at all. The rooms are DARK DARK, ours had no natural light. A window behind a curtain faced a brick wall. But the worst part was the shower. The bathroom was generally clean (although tiny), but as soon as you turned the shower on the drain DID NOT DRAIN AT ALL. Even a 5 minute shower and the water was at your ankles and overflowing onto the floor. It was disgusting and gross. I asked to move rooms or have it fixed, but the front desk said all of the rooms were like that so not to bother! This fact alone should keep you from staying there, gross!! Leer más

Conveniently located, dark and trendy, with interesting decor and bedside reading as noted by other reviewers. My room was very small with a tiny closet--a bit of a challenge for a 4 night stay, but manageable; comfy bed, flat screen cable TV, clean but small bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wireless internet was not worth the extra charge; signal was very weak with continuous dropouts; not good for a business traveler. The in-room safe had a loose battery compartment cover. Various fixtures in the bathroom were loose or broken (TT holder, shower faucet handle). Most irritating was the poorly designed shower stall, resulting in flooding with every use; the curtain bar needs to be inset from the front of the stall, the curtain extended a bit lower, and shower guards placed to avoid this problem. The Night Hotel was an amazing experience in that the hotel is funky with its cream and black interior and chrome fixtures. The music playing in the lobby completely fit the look of the hotel and added to the ambiance. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. That was the best part. The room itself was tiny and there was […] barely enough room for two people to move around the room comfortably. The bell hop even said "wow, small room" when he brought our luggage up. The shower handle broke off in my hands, the air conditioning made enough noise to wake the dead, getting replacements of soap and towels was difficult unless we asked at the front desk where the staff was polite but basically could care less whether or not we needed something as long as their conversation wasn't interrupted. My husband and I stayed one night at Night and I loved it for several reasons. 1. it was inexpensive 2. I loved the black and white, contemporary feel--not too "hotel like" 3. great location-near to times square without being in the crowd. 4. irish pub across the street. 5. great service-loved the buisness cards with my name on it. 6.breakfast-its is […] a treat not to have to search out someplace to get a quick bite. 7. checked our luggage so we could explore. 8. near Grand central. really the only thing I did not love was that the room was tiny--really tiny and overlooked the fire escape. but for what we paid-- it was fine. The rooms are small, but it was perfect for the 2 of us for a night in the city. The price was great, I would stay again!

We loved the hotel, with its decor and almost gothic mood. Fantastic location, great value for money, excellent staff. Of all the hotels I've visited in NYC, boutique or otherwise, this is my favourite. We have already recommended it to our friends.

Excellent location. Rooms were small but very clean and the decor was amazing. It was everything I had hoped for and more.

Not for the shy or faint of heart, this is the most stylish, goth, crazy cool place to stay in Manhattan. Definitely boutique and worth every penny!

My wife and I stayed for a week-end and found a room a few days before. We were able to get a queen size bed, and the location is great for catching a show or a great dinner. The room is small - typical for the area - but comfortable. We had a great week-end, and would definitely stay there again.

Room was very clean and comfortable.Room was small, as most of the rooms in New York City. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I agree with other people about shower door. Hotel might want to think about re-doing it. Great location, you right in time square. Overall I enjoyed my stay @ Night hotel

Do not let the name frighten you. Night is a great hotel. As with the other reviews - the rooms are small but nothing that a couple couldn't manage. It is not a "family" hotel but a nice place for a romantic trip for 2. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Within a block of Times Square and within walking Distance to 5th Avenue. Being a native New Yorker I chose to stay at Night for the weekend with my boyfriend, it was his birthday weekend and we wanted to have fun in the city. Location is great, you're in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Times Sq.; in walking distance to everything. The elevator was tiny and the hallways were only about 3ft. wide, you could literally hear your neighbor across the hall. My room was small just as previous guests had noted, the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken and tiles on the walls were chipped. There is a serious design flaw in the shower because the glass only extends about 1/3 across the shower the entire shower mat and floor gets wet. There is no ice machine so we had to call the front desk whenever we needed some....they were very courteous none the less. In a nutshell if location is your priority then Night is a great choice, keep in mind it is an adult hotel-sexy black and white decor and sensual photographs line the walls. Leer más

it was a pretty sterile and boring hotel and the service was as average as you can get,we were greeted with "hi whats the name?". Staff walked straight into our room twice while we were in bed which was annoying. The rooms were pretty cool except if you have more than one case with you you literally have no room to walk at all. Everyone was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Very small, but clean. The hotel internet service went down for two days and since I was on a business trip it was very difficult to check e-mail.

This hotel was so cool. The décor was awesome! I loved it! The staff was friendly. They have valet parking for only $55 per day. It is close to everything. I read prior reviews regarding the size of the room and bathroom so I was prepared. The room was small and there is only a stand up shower, no tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the best aspects of this hotel is I did not see any children until my very last day. The guests were mostly thirty-something hispters. The hotel is located right off of Times Square, but my room was very quiet. Although the room had a really cool and unique design, I never saw such a small hotel room in my life, but I suppose that is to be expected in Manhattan, where a small apartment goes for $2,500 per month, and small restauaunts are shelling out $15,000 a month in rent. The room was so small that when I put my bags on the floor, there was no space between the bed and the walls. The room was OK for just me, but I would recommend getting a bigger room for two people. This hotel by far exceeded by expectations!!! It is so convenient, half a block from Times but quiet enough to provide a refuge. I love this hotel. The decor, the staff, the ease of location. I don't particularly love Times Sq or the amenities near there but it IS central and the hotel is off the main square so you can avoid the other tourists!

Stayed at this hotel for my birthday and was extremely pleased. First- the service was wonderful. I felt taken care of and comfortable, without being bothered. Room service was fast and pretty good. And its so close to port authority. I did drive, so I used the parking lot right next door which was about $90, which wasnt so bad for an overnight in times square. room was small but we expected that the bed was very comfortable the room was very clean and staff helpful with all our requests..the continental breakfast was an added treat much more than i expected especially in new york. would certainly stay again and recommend to others but only for a 2-3 night stay due to it being such a small room

Rooms are small, but typical of NYC. Everything was clean and reasonably new, but the entire hotel is black or white and very dimly lit. Perfect for color blind and those that wear sunglasses at night. Strange...

In februari gingen wij naar dit hotel toe en hadden kamer nummer 30. Het hotel is heel mooi en luxe de kamer was ruim genoeg en van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijke douche mooie badkamer dus weinig op aan te merken. Alleen is er een raam die zit op een nisje waardoor je minimale licht naar binnen krijgt dus is het best donker als je wakker word dan […] heb je het idee dat het nog midden in de nacht is voor de rest is de airco oftewel verwarming wanneer je die aan zet erg gehoorig en tevens de mensen naast je en op de gang hoor je ook vrij goed.
