This is in a great location to walk to most of the sites and to catch the train to and from the airport. There are also lots of restaurants around and next to a Starbucks and McDonald's as well.

From the unique hotel lobby and the very attentive front desk staff to the comfort and quality of the room and the not excessive room rate, I didn't have second thoughts about booking this hotel. It's between Unter den Linden and the Friedrichstrasse Bahnhof, with an entrance on Friedrichstrasse, thus in Stadtmitte, immediately across the street from […] one of the world's great bookshops and shopping streets, and a short walk from the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, the Komische Oper, the Staatsoper, and the Museum Island, not to mention the wonderful restaurants and bistros and the Berliner Ensemble less than five minutes walk across the river. The Rewa supermarket a block away and across the street has the best prices for food I know of in Germany. Hotel entrance/lobby is like a fabric but the rooms are nice and comfy (no tea/coffee facilities). Unfortunately, the hotel does not offer free WLAN or internet. There is a computer for guests but you have to pay for it. Since nearly everybody offers free internet it is a pitty for a hotel within that range!

I was very satisfied. Good location, easy accessibility. Restaurant rather expensive, we Americans need to get used to in Europe. Typical poor German pillows!

With a few caveats, I would highly recommend this hotel. Our room and the hotel itself were very clean, and the location is great. It is 1 1/2 blocks from the Friederrickstrasse S-Bahn station (2 from the U-Bahn), and 2 blocks from Museum Island. The Brandenburg is about a 15 minute walk. However, here is what I did not like: (1) the buffet breakfast […] was a whopping 22 Euros per person. However, there are several places where you can get breakfast within a 1-2 block range of the hotel. (2) Internet access cost as much as 24 Euros/day; there is only 1 free terminal in the lobby, and you usually have to wait to use it.Perhaps such high fees aren't bad if you're a business traveler and have an expense account, but they seem high for the average traveler. (3) The reception and concierge staff, while perfunctorily polite, acted if they were doing you a favor by responding to you, and our questions were minimal and hardly time-consuming e.g. How much is breakfast, the internet? Can you tell us where to catch the bus to....? Hardly demanding -- just routine questions that got snippy answers. It is only because of these 3 things that I give the Maritim a 4. But for cleanliness, comfot, convenience and location, it rates a 5. Leer más

The hotel is situated in the former East Berlin and is close to metro, trams and buses. It's a 15 minute stroll from the Brandemburg Gate and close to many of the amazing places in Berlin. Our room was a good size and was quiet and comfortable. Excellent hotel facilities include pool, sauna and gym. Buffet breakfast was excellent and good value.

Clean, comfortable, close to Brandenburg Gate, ac did not work - staff said this is typical and could not repair, no breakfast, wifi expensive. Overall 4 out 5 - good not great.

The comments about the improvements made to this communist era hotel are all correct. It is very modern and chic. The location is unbeatable, being just off the corner of Unter den Linden and Friedrich Str.The room was wonderfully appointed and the bed was confortable. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located in the Museum Island area and is close to all the sightseeing in Berlin.

Everything was well when we arrived. Reception was very friendly and were expecting us. A really nice and very centrally located hotel with an amazing breakfast buffet.

A superb top class hotel, vey friendly staff, very clean and comfortable even the basic comfort rooms. Lovely pool area with plenty of towels. The location is superb. Less than 5 minutes from the TXL bus stop from Tegel airport on Unter der Linden. 2 minutes to the local S & U bahn lines, under 5 minutes to the River Spree. Superb bars, restaurants […] & bakeries all around. Only 10 minutes to Gendarmarkt, which must be one of the most beautiful squares in the world and home to Fassbender & Rausch Chocolate shop - an absolute must. Take a boat trip on the river, the 4 hour round trip is worth the time as you see so much. I strongly recommend this hotel and Berlin to everyone, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Leer más

Stay was 3 days in August 2009. This hotel is so well-located: it is just one block from a key subway station giving complete access to the entire city...it is just a 10 minutes walk to major sights such as Branderburg Gate, the Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie and more. We stayed in the Maritim for our honeymoon and the service was fantastic ...the only thing that let them down was the fact that the restaurants had very limited options for coeliacs..wheat free is a dirty phrase in Berlin anyway...they did their best but I would recommend buying a dietary card to explain fully about being a coeliac ...the standard of […] service and cleanliness was magnificent and it is perfectly located in the centre of Berlin. This hotel's location is located one block from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof station and within walking distance of many historic sites and museums and is nearby restaurants and shopping areas. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area is beautiful with clean facilities. We were a group of 20-somethings traveling for fun in Berlin and although the hotel staff were nice there were a few who looked at us like we didn't belong. It was definitely a hotel that caters to the business traveler. The decoration for the hotel was great and though Berlin is a very big city it was around a few sights. Overall, the Maritim pro arte was a good choice because of its central location and comfort. The room was well-sized with excellent storage. It had some drawbacks that may not be as important to others as to me: the room was somewhat warm, and the air conditioner did not cool it adequately, which was complicated by the fact that the bedding was a duvet, […] so overly warm. TV English-language news was limited to Sky and Bloomberg, no BBC or CNN, and Sky is a poor news channel. A room card said not to open the window because of insects, but the housekeeper left the window open daily. No price was given in-room for breakfast, even on the order form; the basic price, when I asked, was 22 Euros, plus extras. Leer más

This hotel is a perfect location for sightseeing. In fact, I cannot imagine anything more central. The rooms are pretty average - old carpets, etc. I expected a bit more since it is rated 4.5 stars. But the lobby is very nice. Overall I recommend it for any tourist in Berlin as it's just a brief walk to most locations (Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg, […] Hamburger Bahnhof, etc). Leer más

Excellent hotel in a wonderful location within walking distance of all the major sights. Train from the airport stopped at Friedrichstrasse which is just 100 metres from the hotel. Room, reception & pool area were all spotless. Staff were extremely helpful & a complimentary chocolate Easter bunny was even left in our room. Ett hotell som höjer sig över mängden. Från detta hotell promenerar man alt U-bahn eller S-bahn och bilen kan stå i garaget. Kommer tveklöst att boka detta hotell igen.

Moderne og flott hotell med god service! Badebassenget var topp! Perfekt for en weekend i Berlin. Om du har inkludert kontinental frokost fra hotels.com .Pass på hvilken frokostsal du går inn i. s Koster fort 200 kroner per person ved utsjekking. Slapp unna for vår del etter noe frem og tilbake ved utsjekking. Utover det en suveren frokost!

Das Maritim proArte Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Stadtmitte an der Friedrichstrasse. Von hier aus ist man in ein paar Minuten am Brandenburgertor, dem Reichstag und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten der neunen Stadtmitte. Das Hotel war in Ordnung; das Einzige was gestört hat war die lange Wartezeit auf den Aufzug, besonders morgens zwischen 08:00 und 09:30 […] Uhr. Die drei Aufzüge im Hotel sind - besonders in den Stoßzeiten - für die große Anzahl der Zimmer sehr knapp bemessen. Ansonsten, keine Beschwerden; wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Leer más

I förhållande till det pris vi betalade så var detta hotell ett riktigt fynd! Det hade fortfarande varit prisvärt till det dubbla priset. Överlag fräscht, trevlig personal och bemötande.

Hotellet ligger perfekt i forhold til seværdigheder og shopping.Eneste minus er prisen på morgenmad, men der findes mange cafeer i nabolaget hvor man kan spise for det halve.

Hade ett comfortrum och en suite for oss två vuxna och tre barn. Ungarna älskade poolen. Comfortrum mycket trånga med extrasäng. Suite har bäddsoffa för två barn. Priset för frukost är ett skämt. 22 Euro per näsa - även för små barn! Inga problem att hitta trevliga ställen i närheten att äta på. Hotellet ligger extremt bra i Mitte vid kommunikationsnavet […] av flera U-bahn, S-bahn och Strassenbahn. Även dubbeldäckarturerna 100 och 200 passerar i närheten. Hade bilen stående i garaget i tre dagar för 66 Euro. Hotellet ligger egentligen på Dorotheen Strasse vilket också är en bra adress. Ventialtionen halvtaskig. Generellt mycket gott intryck och med kampanjen tredje natten gratis blev det mycket prisvärt. Ett bra val för barnfamiljer som vill fly ner i källarpool om Berlin blir för varmt eller för regnigt. Rigtig fint hotel med rene værelser og store rum. Beliggenheden er super central og tæt på undergrund og morgenmadssteder og med Under Den Linden lige om hjørnet, super smukt! Nabolaget er stille og roligt og med gode muligheder for parkering både på hotellet og på gaden udenfor (mod betaling).

Maritim ProArte Hotel iBerlin har den optimale beliggenhed i.f.t. såvel shopping som sigthseeing. Og hvad der ikke kan nås til fods, ligger kun få stop derfra via den nærliggende S-bahn og U-bahn. Selve hotellet er generel høj standard. Gode værelser og god betjening. Tilhørende parkeringskælder synes dog at være en anelse dyr med 21 Euro pr. nat, for […] et, i forvejen, ikke helt billigt hotel. Leer más

Das Hotel ist aufgrund seiner Lage ideal für Erkundungstouren: zentral und verkehrsgünstig, aber dennoch ruhig. Zu Fuß ist man nicht nur schnell Unter den Linden, auch der S-Bahnhof Friedrichstraße ist nicht weit. Nachdem ich schon auf einer Dienstreise in dem Hotel war, habe ich es nun auch für einen privaten Stadturlaub genutzt und einen unaufgeregten […] und angenehmen Urlaub in Berlin genossen. Zimmer und Service waren gut; Frühstück habe ich nicht in Anspruch genommen. Erfreulicherweise keine Überraschungen und sicher nicht mein letzter Aufenthalt im Maritim proArte. Leer más

Chambre très calme où seule la climatisation demanderait à être améliorée. Rangements bien étudiés. Hotel très bien situé et services très complaisants. Petit déjeuner souvent très embouteillé ! 1 seul ordinateur pour tout l'hôtel...mais le reste est parfait
