Max Hotel tiene todo a un precio muy accesible comparado con otros hoteles de esas caracteristicas. Las habitaciones son muy limpias, todo parece nuevo.

El hotel esta practicamente en la entrada del aeropuerto! asi q para aquellos que necesitas conectar un vuelo o pasar una sola noche. Esta es sin duda la mejor opcion!

Una carretera de circunvalación en forma de corazón define el centro de la ciudad de Bruselas y la mayoría de sus atracciones turísticas. Dentro de estos límites, el centro se divide en dos zonas distintas. En la zona oeste está la Ciudad Baja o parte vieja, un laberinto de calles cuyo centro es la Grand Place, una amplia plaza rodeada de ornamentados edificios flamencos. Al este se encuentra la Ciudad Alta, zona más moderna y aristocrática con palacios, parques, grandes museos e iglesias góticas.

Cuando se inauguró el hotel Bedford , seguro que merecía ser un 4****, pero a día de hoy ha quedado obsoleto y necesita renovación urgente. Hay moqueta en las habitaciones y aparte de otorgar un olor extraño a las habitaciones, no es muy higiénico, que digamos. El personal de recepción muy antipático ( al menos dos chicos con los que traté) y al chico […] más joven del bar , parece que los clientes le sobran. Casi no te mira al entrar, ni buenas tardes, ni nada. En cambio hay otro señor más mayor que sí vale para estar de cara al público. La habitación, bastante anticuada pero cómoda y limpia. Para mí lo mejor, es su situación. A 400 metros de la Grand Place y a 200 de la manneken pis. Por cierto, hay un restaurante llamado Piazza Italia, donde el personal es fantástico y se come estupendamente bien a un precio asequible. Se encuentra a pocos metros del hotel . Alquilamos coche y menos mal que nos trajimos el GPS de casa, pués es bastante complicado moverse por la ciudad, de hecho si no hubiera sido por el GPS aún estaríamos buscando la ruta hacia el aeropuerto. En este aspecto , Bruselas debería coger el toro por los cuernos y actualizar su información y señalización viaria, la cual en mi opinión , dificulta muchísimo la movilización de los turistas por su ciudad y por su país. Si volviera a Bruselas, no sacrificaría la cercanía del hotel al centro por un hotel más moderno, por lo que seguramente volvería al Bedford. Leer más

este hotel está bastante cerca de la grand place y el nucleo central de bruselas, asi como cerca de las estaciones. el hall es correcto, pero las habitaciones son impropias de un hotel de 4*. el desayuno muy masificado y de calidad más que discreta.

La habitación es de lo mas cutre que conozco y el colchon es blando y simplemente horrorozo para dormir en el.
hotel muy bien situado, habitaciones sin grandes lujos pero limpias y amplias, aunque los colchones son demasiado blandos. la situación es perfecta para hacer turismo, cerca de las grandes atracciones de interés. desayuno correcto y el trato del personal muy amable.

La situación es tan inmejorable que compensa el que no sea un hotel ultramoderno. Se tienen siempre dificultades con el sistema electrónico de apertura de puertas. Estupendo hotel en el centro de Bruselas. Muy cerca de estación de metro y de tren, personal resolutivo y que habla español, las habitaciones y el desayuno con calificación sobresaliente, en definitiva a dos minutos de la Grand Place y otros monumentos. Muy recomendable

Hotel bien situado pero algo anticuado y habitaciones muuuuuy pequeñas. Sólo conveniente para ir al centro turístico y no para la zona del parlamento europeo o de negocios.

La situación es excelente: a pocos minutos a pie de la Grand Place y otras atracciones turísticas. El desayuno continental es abundante y está bien. Hay restaurantes y bares en las cercanías.
"Hotel Bedford en Bruselas: menos de lo que parece"
La situación del hotel es bastante buena, a escasos minutos de la Grand Place, pero el hotel necesita una remodelación urgente. La habitación en la que estuvimos es amplia y limpia, pero oscura y triste, con el (escaso) mobiliario del día que lo inauguraron, limpio pero viejo. Ah, y los somieres de las camas se hunden hasta el suelo (cuidado con los […] que tengan la espalda regular); cojines en lugar de almohadas. Viajamos tres personas y nos alojaron en una habitación con cuatro camas, la habitación principal con dos y otra más pequeña con otras dos. Suficientemente amplia, pero triste como ella sola. Es cierto que en este tipo de viajes apenas haces uso del hotel salvo para dormir, por lo que quizás la valoración que se haya de hacer del mismo es distinta a cuando lo usas durante gran parte del día, pero un hotel que se hace catalogar como 4 estrellas debe ofrecer algo más. Las zonas comunes (hall, comedor, etc) por el contrario están bastante más cuidadas. El desayuno estaba incluido en el precio y era aceptable: bacon, queso y huevo, dulces y leche, café y zumo. Un poco monótono pero suficiente para salir a la calle en condiciones. El hotel estaba lleno de jubilados, apenas ningún español además de nosotros; no es inconveniente. Amables en recepción, incluso una persona hablaba español bastante bien. La situación es buena: a pocos minutos de la Grand Place y de la Gare du Midi (ésta un poco más lejos), lo que te permitía estar muy en contacto con la zona más visitada de Bruselas. Para ir de la Gare du Midi al hotel hay que atravesar un barrio o zona absolutamente musulmana pero es cierto que jamás hubo ni el más mínimo problema, al contrario. En resumen: un hotel recomendable si buscas situación, limpieza y desayuno incluido, y no tanto si eres más exigente con las condiciones del hotel. Estupenda localización en el centro histórico de Bruselas. Buen desayuno. Lo menos destable el mantenimiento general, se trata de un buen hotel poco modernizado. El servicio bueno. Recomendable si quieres estar a un buen precio en un sitio estratégico

"Past it's former glory by 35 years...."
This is a terrible hotel. How is it marketed as 4 star?! 2 at best... What a joke, a waste of time and money. Go and/or stay in Brugge, Ghent or Antwerp. Plenty of wonderful hotels in more interesting and safer cities.

The rooms need desperately renovation. The wall to wall carpet in my room on 3rd floor was disgusting. It had so many stains and so worn out that I wonder they still sell these rooms out. Can't even think of walking there with no shoes on. Also the ugly giant size blue leather armchairs were so unattractive that one would never touch them. This is a misleading hotel. A grandiose entrance disguises dreadful rooms. I was attracted to the hotel by the fitness centre and wifi access. The former was one of the worst hotel type fitness rooms, with no cardiovascular machines. The wifi access was erratic at best. My room smelled dreadful and there was no proper heating. I went back to the Bedford in December for the first time in 14 years, and I was pleasantly surprised. The Bedford's position is excellent, within easy walking distance of Grande Place and the other central Brussels attractions. I would describe the Bedford as a good mid-range hotel. "Disappointing"
With a little bit of effort this could be turned into a 5 star hotel. The lobby, D.R. etc is great. The carpet throughout needs to be cleaned and or replaced. The mattress was very uncomfortable, the pillows even worse. The only thing great is the location.

"Nice hotel, good breakfast but rooms need refurb"
good location, nice appearance but rooms run down. Breakfast good variety but very busy. We unfortunately were disturbed by other guests having a party until 3am the staff did deal with the situation when asked. A nice enough hotel. Hot shower, clean, comfy bed, good location, and great breakfast.

"A bad stay"
Bedford is not for casual travellers - leave it for coach groups, conferences and the military who stand smoking outside. I had paid for a twin bed - they gave me a single. The TV didn't work, and was not replaced after I complained. The heating didn't turn on. The door lock perpetually didn't work - I changed 4 cards until I learned the handle needed […] adjusting. The hotel is ranked 4 stars but it is barely a 3 stars hotel. Probably it was a decent hotel 30 years ago, but since then it was never renovated. The room was small, old, with different pieces of furniture and with an old bad mattress (I asked them to change it but they told me they did not have better mattress, so they put a board under the mattress […] to support it). "Bedford Hotel - renovation needed"
Stayed one night at Bedford Hotel. The hotel would benefit from renovation. Room was shaggy with worn carpets and tobacco burns here and there. It was difficult to get right temperature water from the shower. The air in the room felt stale and it was not possible to open the window. Location and breakfast OK. Relatively cheap but can't recommmend.
"Bedford Hotel Brussels-disappointing"
The lobby area is very attractive, and the location of the hotel very convenient to sightseeing. Before I move on with the rest of my review, I must say that I have stayed at many European hotels in rooms that are old, small, with twin beds, and am not a really picking person as long as the room is clean, quiet and the bed can be slept in without crippling […] me. This is the first time I have given a negative review to any hotel I have booked on-line after looking at the websites and photos, thinking I had a good feel for the quality of the hotel. I was first given a room (103) down a hall with no ceiling, just exposed wires and duct. The room did not look at all like the photos of the "double" rooms on the website, it was small and crammed with too much furniture making it difficult to move around. The bed in the room sagged in the middle with the foot being about 10 inches higher than the head. I had just had back surgery a few months previously so I went to the desk to ask for a different room, I was told ALL the beds in the hotel were like this (they were remodeling, which was not disclosed during booking or on their website) and that they didn't have any other rooms available, so they put a board under the head of the mattress, which didn't work, I then needed to ask for the wi-fi password, the phone didn't work so I went back down, they sent someone up, couldn't fix the phone. Next I could hear the person in the next room clearing his voice and humming as if he was in my room, the worse part, I could hear everything that went on in his bathroom. I went back down, asked if they had a "sister hotel" since they had said they had no other rooms available, they said no, I told them I would pay more if I could just have a better room, then I was given room 214, a "business suite". (amazing, since I had been told they were fully booked) but the room It was clean, mattress was still old but not as sagging, and I could not hear other guests. "The worst hotel in Europe"
This hotel needs its stars removed. It is simply the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room although expensive and a triple room, was dirty, with stained carpets and decoration from the 1980's. All of the furniture was damaged and scratched and the bed was so worn out that it was impossible to sleep on. The pillows were disgusting not something […] you would want to put your head on. The plumbing from other rooms ran through the bathroom in the room so you could hear the activity of other bathrooms. The walls were paper thin again you could hear every word. I complained to staff and asked for a room change and they were less than helpful and just said that all rooms were the same and the hotel needed investment. I went back a second time and this time they seemed to find it quite amusing that I was disgusted with what I had been given. Although I booked for 2 nights, I left the next day, and again the staff were not apologetic in any way and were amused that I had left. "Well located but a bit outdated"
This hotel is in an awesome location, about halfway between the Brussels Central and Brussels Midi train stations. It's near a very touristy area with great restaurants. The hotel however is a bit outdated. The room was small but clean. Two twin beds were used instead of a queen... not ideal if traveling with your significant other.

My sister and I loved this hotel! Right next to everything in the city centre, we easily walked everywhere. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Our room was very nice and clean, very comfortable. The included breakfast was also great, it had everything, and the staff working there in the mornings were lovely. Unfortunatly the air con was broken. We only ever book a hotel if it has air con so this was disappointing, there seemed no attempt to fix it either over our 5 days stay. The bed was the most uncomfortsble we had ever slept in, the pillows are ridiculously small and uncomfortable. This hotel is in a good location, close to tourist attractions. The reception is warm and welcoming, however it does not reflect what awaits one, once in the rooms. The rooms clearly need refurbishment, carpets are badly worn and dirty, furniture torn and dirty. Room has a fridge (empty) - no minibar. The location was decent for the attraction and the hotel staff was very helpful in helping you navigate the area. The room was somewhat unbearable at times. Not sure how you dont have a/c in the rooms when the weather is so hot. Or how when you ask for two beds, you double small beds together for a king size. This place has a great location within wailing distance of all the sightseeing destinations. Very tiny rooms but that seems tp be the norm in all of Europe. Very comfy bed with nice bedding.Very clean. The worst internet,unusable in rooms and the computers set up for customer use were relics and not much better. Nice breakfast provided.

Great location for walking to/from so much. Reasonably priced with the bonus of free wi-fi and full breakfast each morning. Bed left something to be desired, but for 3-days it was doable.

"Not sure how this hotel got four stars"
The hotel needs a revamp since the decor is old and tired looking. The breakfast was fine, but I felt real lonely having a beer in the overbright bar the previous evening, since I was outnumbered by the two staff in the place. The seats in the bar were splendidly uncomfortable. On arrival, the temperature in the bedroom was far too hot (felt like around […] 30 degrees) and I never found the light switch to some of the bedroom lights (ended up powering off the whole room to turn them off). When checking in at the right hand side of the checkin desk, the guy behind the counter greeted me in a friendly way, then suddenly stopped before he could say any more, looked surprised, then walked over to the guest queuing on the far left of the checkin desk, said the same big hi to him and just left me standing there, booking docs + passport in hand. "my experience"
The reception desk people were very friendly. The room is old, but the bathromm is new. Breakfast was just fair, no vegtables or fruits served. In general, its a very pleasent hotel. The distance from Grand Place is less than 10 minutes walk. The conference rooms are modern and well equiped.
