Days Inn Carlsbad

There was a large pile of throw up at the bottom of the stairs on the way to our room. I told the maintenance people and it took several hours to get cleaned.

We specifically picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool and our two kids were super excited to go swimming. After my Hubby checked in we were informed that the pool was under maintenance and completely drained!!! I feel this is something that should have been told to us BEFORE booking since that was our main reason for choosing the hotel. Also, […] the WIFI didn't work 99.5% of the time on either of our smart phones or our tablet. When we told the front desk about this their reply was that is was being worked on all over the town...huh? So, if you are looking for a good breakfast, clean hotel, and close proximity to the caves, this hotel would be for you. Leer más

Booked a room here to go see the Carlsbad Caverns. Upon arrival check in was easy & quick. Once we got to our room, we noticed the toliet leaking onto the floor. Front desk switched our room with no issue. Front desk was friendly & helpful. Rooms were outdated & kinda yucky, dusty curtains & our door looked as if had been bent/kicked in at one time. […] The free breakfast was good. Mostly cereals & muffins, eggs & juice. Breakfast area was clean. Also, their pool is heated! Kinda neat:) We saw people running from the cold in bathingsuits after leaving the indoor pool area. Funny in January! I would stay here again if everything else is booked up (like it was) but its your average type of a 2 star hotel. P.S. The Caverns were AWESOME! Leer más

I feel tile work should be done by experts and not handymen. The bathroom tile repair was bad. The room was clean and the bedding seemed new.

We stayed at the Days Inn for one night before a trip to the Carlsbad Caverns. It actually exceeded my expectations based on reviews I had read. It's not at all fancy, but the room was freshly painted and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was way better than other reviewers had noted. Again, not fancy, but toast, cereal, fruit, not-terrible […] coffee, and a waffle iron that made my boyfriend very happy. The town of Carlsbad leaves a little something to be desired, but it was a fine place to stay for a night. Leer más

Performed well under difficult conditions... snow storm Convenient. Flexible for those leaving early for appointments or leisure..

Clean room, good beds & bedding. Limited breakfast choices, but still good value.

Quiet location. Old facility, but reasonably well kept. Hair dryer doesn't work. Breakfast minimal.

If you want a non-smoking room make sure you check before you sign for the room.

The room was dirty behind objects. The TV was fuzzy. The hot tub was inside, which is why I chose this hotel. But the rooms have outside doors, so you still had to walk outside in the cold to get to and from whirlpool. And the door had such a large gap around it, that you could see the parking lot. Stay somewhere else.

Clean and new facility. Good room for the price. Not fancy, but it more than filled the bill for me. I would stay there again with no second thought.

This Hotel was very convenient to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did use the whirlpool after hiking Guadelupe Peak and the pool area was indoors and well maintained. The Days Inn is a no frills hotel but was a good value for our visit to the National Park.

---a bit of a surprise when my wife showed up before me and the hotel wouldn't let her in the room after she had driven eight hours. And then they wanted me to pay cash, even when the card had cleared ? strange, but I ignored that request.

The staff were all super friendly. Nice breakfast variety. Pool and rooms were well maintained. For the price we paid, was just about $10 more than some of the nasty ghetto dumps a bit further up the road. This was a little further away from main part of town, but just a few minutes drive. My husband and I were quite pleased with this hotel. We stayed here on our cross-country road trip. It was close to Carlsbad Caverns, so that was nice. We were pleased with the breakfast. The room was exceptionally clean and very large. Newly redone shower and bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

All we needed was a place to sleep and be comfortable.We came in, checkin was a breeze straight to our room after a 7 hour drive got everything put up and went to eat at chili's right down the road a couple of blocks.Went back to our room for some well deserved rest after the drive.Beds were VERY comfortable and plenty of pillows..I loved that.Next […] morning got up to go to the Living Desert and went back to room to find roomservice had already made bed and vacuumed...wasn't quite finished so we went in and sat at the dinette and ate while the very polite sweet lady(asked if she may enter again)came in and cleaned the bathroom and vanity and sink...AND PRIORITIES,brought me some more coffee.You may laugh, but, that rates right up there to me.Very GOOD stay and will recommend to all our friends.The politeness of that one woman put me over the top for this hotel,for you don't find that kind of service anymore.Only bad thing that wasn't that bad is the bathroom was very small,but that is probably why the room was so large.Thanks again for an awsome vacation gettaway even if it was so shortly lived.WILL BE BACK!!!! The hotel was fairly decent for the price and location. We skipped the free breakfast due to the abundance of flies in the lobby, but the bed and the bathroom were both clean. Our "non-smoking" room smelled faintly of smoke but was otherwise acceptable. The location was just off the main road through town, so it was close to the restaurants (though […] not walking distance). The hotel is a typical case of Get What You Pay For. But you aren't visiting Carlsbad to stay in the room, are you? You're dumping luggage and racing off to the amazing Caverns, and this hotel was acceptable for that. Great location - on the outskirts of Carlsbad, so quiet and right on the way to the Caverns. Clean, great parking - overall a really good hotel.

Basic road motel, clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. Good location on the south end of Carlsbad for those visiting Carlsbad Caverns.

The hotel was difficult to locate at first, due to road construction in town. When we arrived, the woman at the desk was friendly as we checked in. The room she gave us was clean and smelled fresh, but full of flies, due to a seal missing on the door. We asked for and received another room. It was clean, and comfortable for the two nights we were there. […] The Continental breakfast was adequate, with waffles, hard boiled eggs, juices, milk, coffee, etc. The indoor pool and whirlpool were also enjoyable. The first day, the housekeepers straightened our room while we were at breakfast. They removed the dirty towels and bathmat, but didn't leave clean ones. We had to go ask for some more. The toilet would continue to run after flushing, but was easily fixable each time. Leer más

The hotel was on the opposite end of town from where I was working-the map was not helpful in the booking section of the website. We stayed at much nicer hotels on our journey that had much better rates as well.

Room was clean and for the most part comfortable. The hotel is under construction and the rooms could use a good cleaning of doors, door frames, but the overall room was clean. Staff was very helpful.

Hotel is in a good location if you are in town to visit the caverns, right on the edge of town heading down the road to the park. Room was clean and had lots of power plugs for electronics, which seems to be usually in short supply

Hotel was clean, but facilities were older, could have used some updating. The rates seemed to reflect that condition. The breakfast was pretty good, and the staff was friendly, quick, and curtious. As for recomendations, I would recomend it if you are trying to save some money, but due to it's location, and age, it's not a place to really impress  […] people. Leer más

Room was dirty. Pool was dirty. Didn't shower cuz washcloth's looked dirty. Don't stay here if you have a choice.

I would never stay here again. On our two week trip this was the most expensive room and the worst. The rooms were dusty and dirty....about an inch of dust behind tv. And all around the wall...on the floor there was dust. I think that AKA should take other off the recommended hotels and also hotels .com

My kids and I planned a trip to Carlsbad Caverns. And this hotel had the best rate for only being 30mins from the caverns. The room was nice and clean and beds were comfortable. We will stay there again on our next trip.

Good stay. Good breakfast. Quiet, clean room at good rate.
