"Near Rail station and buses"
very handy to all transport and shops. Beds comfortable. The hotel is getting very shabby,could do with a good Spring clean -a/c vent near window full of dust [which in turn blows into room] The shower heads are out of The Ark ,too large . "convinient and comfortable"
The Hotel Travelodge Wynyard is close to Wynyard station in the center of CBD; only 10 minutes walk to harbour and tourist attractions. The Hotel's staff are polite and friendly. Room service was acceptable and standard. All in all, this hotel is a comfortable place to stay.

"Mediocre hotel"
For the rate of the hotel room we expected to get much more. The room was small, directions were terrible, the airconditioning very weak, balancing cold and warm water was hard to do, Internet was expensive and slow, and hotel personnel was untypically busy and stressed. I wouldn't have chosen this hotel unless location was critical.

"Travelodge Wynyard: Great location"
I had stayed at a travelodge before this and i had been impressed by the location and general quality of the hotel. it was the same this time. the wynyard property is a walking distance away from most must-see places in that general area and the hotel staff is largely very helpful.
Very well positioned.But limited parking space underneath,and thirty dollars a day!
"Travelodge Wynyard - convenient location"
The hotel is not the most recent one, but is of good standard. It is really close to the Wynyard station which makes it very easy to reach from the airport. It is a very good starting point to explore sydney.

would stay here again. for the location the price was good and easy access to everywhere. particularly liked the fact that if you arrive early you can use the facilities to shower etc which isn't always an option. staff very helpful. only downside was bathroom could do with renovating but it was clean.

we stayed at Travelodge for 5 nights over the Christmas holidays. We arrived couple of hours before check in but they let us in our room as it was already ready.Room was very clean and bed was comfy. The location is perfect, walking distance to Opera house, Darling Harbour, CBD shops, fery wharfs and buses.

We have traveled the world and stayed in many hotels and whilst the hotel itself is standard and clean, tidy, easy to get to etc... IT WAS THE LEVAL of CUSTOMER SERVICE that was above excellent.... everything was easy nothing was to much trouble and the staff were so genuine it was a absolute pleasure to stay there..and we will again

The rooms are very small and are very expensive. The cost of a hotel room in this area would be just half of that price plus a bigger room. The food is very expensive in the Hotel. The service was very good.
"Travelodge Wynyard Sydney - Wierdest Shower ever"
My wife and I were in Sydney for a week on the end of a 3 week New Zealand/Australia Vacation and chose this hotel for the location and price with a 4 star rating from hotels.com. While the hotel was fine, the 4 star rating is undeserved. First impression- We arrived very early in the day and did not expect to get into our room but went directly to […] the hotel to store our luggage until the room was ready. When we arrived we were not greeted out front and carried our own luggage into the lobby. We were met once we were inside and were able to store our luggage until later that day. The hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. The Room The room was on the 15th floor and the view was of another building accross the street. The windows were small and there was a large ledge to get to them so it wasnt easy to look down onto the street. Perhaps this was necessary for the integrity of the structure but didnt make sense. Not a big deal. The bed was comfortable, there was ample storage space, the tv worked fine, and the internet ($55 for the week) worked well. The main complaint was with the shower set-up which had neither form nor function. The shower was of the tub variety with a very low nozzle most likely because of the very low ceiling. The shower was not enclosable. There was a fixed glass slab that came out 1/3 of the way from the wall that the nozzle was on. Then there was a hinging glass door that went another 1/3 of the way when closed. This left the last half wide open. It was impossible to shower without allowing alot of water to spray out of the shower and onto the bathroom floor. I thought perhaps the other half had been broken off but there was no evidence that another half ever exhisted. This inconvenience did not ruin our trip and I did not mention it to the hotel because I assumed that every room had this "feature." Perhaps this is not the case and we were just unlucky. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. At the restaurant the dishes were not very clean. Only choose this hotel if you need to be at a convenient location.

Was looking for a good place to stay that would not break the budget. Was very impressed with the hotel for the price. I have staying in places costing more that offered a lot less. Will stay again.

"beware the 22nd floor"
When the three of us first entered our room we were quite impressed by the size of the accomodation. The main issues we had were i) the elevator noise was very loud in our room, ii) the lift didn't take us to our floor, we had to walk up a few flights of stairs to reach our door, iii) the internet took alot to get working but the staff did try very […] hard to get the supplier to fix the problem. "Travelodge Wynyard - Great location!!!"
Hotel is a fabulous location, walking distance to both Circular Quay and the Harbor! There is also a pretty good Japanese eatery in the same building that serves pretty affordable food for dinner as well. Service is ok, could have been friendlier but as I was there on business, it didn't really bother me all that much.

Close to public transport, easy access to restaurants and shopping centres. Staff made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful with any queries we had. This hotel is centrally located and easy to get to as it's right by Wynyard station. Really useful if you are travelling from the airport. It's not far either from Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. You can walk it fairly easily or get the train from Wynyard Station. very convenient location, just minutes away from Geroge and Market street. Also, the railway station is less than a minute walk from the hotel.

The room was larger than expected, the bathroom smaller. Paper thin walls and poor ventilation made for some inconvienence, but the location was superb!

We Booked this hotel through hotels.com website. This hotels quite central location was great for visiting the Rocks, Circular Quay, Darling harbour etc. We caught the train to Wynyard station from the airport and the hotel is only a short walk away. If your staying in Sydney for a couple of days well worth buying a multi ticket at the airport which […] means you can travel around the city by train,bus and ferry up to 7days. We had a room on the 10th floor but after a disturbed nights sleep due to traffic noise I asked to be moved. The hotel staff were very accomodating and arranged for us to have a room on the 17th floor which was far quieter and they moved our bags for us while were out that day. There was also strangely a step into the bathroom in both rooms which caused a stubbed toe or two but I suppose teaches you should look before you walk!! "thishotel is very close to a lot of aminities"
everything was great, I just had a problem with the shower screen over the bath, which gave me a large cut down my right leg, told them at the reception, and they assured me it would be fixed before anyone else hurt themselves. It may be a design fault. otherwise it is a great place to stay, staff very helpful

"Great location, clean room for good price"
We stayed in Wynyard in August and in overall we're very happy with the service, cleanliness of the room and location. We had a cheaper rate as we booked the room during a sale period so we were very happy what we had got for the money. Not so sure if we had to pay full room rate though.
