Excelente servicio, cómodo y muy completo. Quizá con una tarifa un poco menor sería una relación precio- calidad insuperable. Muy recomendable

The Hampton Inn is located adjacent to the San Jose airport and is convenient for catching early flights. Airport noise did not appear to be a factor. The hotel was well maintained and the staff courteous. It has a business center for printing boarding passes and a breakfast bar for a morning snack.

Es un bed and breakfast a la americana sin encanto, practico por la situacion cerca del aeropuerto pero a 140 dolares noche para una persona es excesivo.

Tienen un servicio gratuito y muy eficaz para llevarte al aeropuerto.

Spent 2 nights at the Hampton, when I arrived before heading to Herradura, Los Suenos resort and a night before heading back to Toronto. The hotel is clean and well kept and only 2 minutes away from the SJO Airport and you get a free shuttle ride from the airport to the hotel and also from the hotel back to the airport no matter how early your flight […] is and may I add they have pre-packed breakfast if you are leaving to the airport really early. What was so COOL about this hotel that literally blew me away is that international calls from your room is FREE, yes free. The breakfast is great, the orange juice is not the best but besides that everything else is on point from the sausages, eggs, muffins, cereal, milk, waffles etc. In fact the breakfast has more to offer than the Hampton hotels in the U.S and Canada. In front of the hotel is a Casino called the "Fiesta" the place is usually live with people dancing and having a good time and one thing about the place is the prices are not over the top, it is affordable compared to other places in San Jose. Right in front of the hotel are car rental companies, I rented a 2010 Rav 4 for 2 days with full coverage for $300, Yes HIGH as hell! There is a Dennis restaurant by the hotel as well, the food there is AMAZING however, the prices compared to the ones in the States and Canada is over the top. I had the ultimate omelet, Hush puppies pancakes, hash browns and a glass of coke for $26, I have never spend more than $12 at a Dennis restaurant this was the first, however, it was delicious. At the very front of the hotel towards the right (After passing the Holiday Inn select hotel on the left) is a Latin restaurant and if you keep going right you will find a strip club. You really would not require a taxi to get around as it has several hot spots you can walk to. Personally I wouldn't recommend going to a strip club in San Jose only if you got a lot of money to burn because the girls and the owners are money hungry as hell :-) Leer más

They have a very convenient airport shuttle, amenable front desk staff and they serve a good breakfast. However there is no other food available in the hotel. The only lunch/dinner options are a Rostipollo and Denny's. While that may work for some it didn't for us. We stayed at the Hampton Inn San Jose Airport in late January 2011. Very pleased. Clean, comfortable. Excellent access to airport via their shuttle which leaves every 10-15 minutes. Staff spoke excellent English. Important to note, however, that the San Jose airport is not actually in San Jose...it's located in Alajeula, a bit to the west of San Jose. Awesome place...free breakfast, clean rooms, awesome beddings, and friendly staff. I highly recommned Hampton. Costa Rica's does not have a lot of brand new hotels and this is a very new, clean and comfortable hotel.

This is just like all the Hampton Inns in America, but if you want to be near the airport (e.g. early or late flight) it's perfect. You won't get an authentic Costa Rican cultural experience here, but the hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Negatives during our stay. The Guest Laundry was shut down for whatever reason. We will be back on 1/11/12 and we will see if it reopens. Not enough restaurant choices in the area only a Denny's.

The BEST place ever. Very clean and modern. The bed and the linens are top quality. The best place we've stayed and we stayed at a few places like Barcelo Playa in San Jose, Barcelo Tambor & Villa Liries in Quepos and NONE comparable to the comfort, cleanliness and price was reasonable. Don't forget if you stay here, around the corner in front of the […] Fiesta Casino is the best chicken rotisserie (forgot the name) but you will not miss it as you enter Hampton. I will stay at any Hampton from now on if this is the HIGH QUALITY (cleanliness & beddings and comfort) they offer. KUDOS!!!! Open more places. HIGHLY Recommend this place.... Wonderful location, helpful staff and great breakfast. Recommended as a location to stay near the airport.

It is a convenient spot for one night, as the room is clean, comfortable, it is close to a few restaurant (including a Danny that is overpriced with so so food but surprisingly over-popular with Costa Ricans) and you could have Grayline or other shuttle buss just to pick you up to anywhere in Costa Rica. We stayed at this hotel the first and last night of our one-week stay. The first night was great...very helpful and friendly staff. The last night was frustrating; we had booked online obviously and the woman checking us in said we had indicated that we wanted a king room but there would only be one adult. We didn't have this issue the first night. […] When we booked, the price was no different for one person or two, so what's the issue? She said she had to charge us an extra $20 even though we wouldn't get breakfast (we were leaving too early). Give us a break! It was particularly frustrating becauses we had just had a rough day. We were stopped by a police officer on a motor cycle and after 30 minutes, it became clear that he was seeking a bribe, which we saw no option but to pay. And then to get the hotel, and feel that we were being gouged again...it was very frustrating. the worst thing is we got our VISA bill last night and they actually hit us up for $40. Kind of dampened the positives of the place, and made us feel ripped off. Might have been an innocent mistake; we'll have to dispute it now on our VISA. Hassle. Two other comments: there was no one staffing the departure tax desk either of the evenings or mornings that we were there, so what could have been a great convenience turned out to be nothing as promoted. They weren't apologetic or even have an explanation - just said, "oh, they're not here; I don't think anyone will be at the desk in the morning either." If no one is on duty on weekends when many people arrive and depart, then be straight about it. Also, we thought we got a breakfast bag if we left too early for a pretty decent breakfast...apparently that's not the case on the weekend. Couldn't be more convenient. You could walk to this location if you chose but a very short taxi ride would be safer. Security everywhere, food nearby, and even a casino if you are interested.

The perfect start or end of your stay in Costa Rica--just a block from many of the rental car agencies and a short 5 minute shuttle ride from the airport. The rooms are classically comfortable, with deep pillow-soft mattresses to insure a good's night sleep.

Convenient to airport and casino within walking distance. Wish it would have had a bar, but the breakfast was awesome.

I would have given this hotel a 5, except for the quality of Internet, which is very bad. We could not connect to the airline to check in, nor to retrieve our mail. Other than that and the size of the gym (minuscule), this is a very clean, conveniently-located hotel with a friendly staff.

Really all around a good hotel but I found it very over priced. I had a problem with a snippy clerk over booking a shuttle to another part of the country but the rest of the staff was effcient and friendly. hotel staff very friendly, close to airport, Had coffee ready with a bag breakfast at 5am which I appreciated. Room was clean and quiet, great one night hotel. would stay again with no problem.

Excellent convenience for proximity to airport. Tried to get some personalized service prior to arrival but no email address provided and fax I sent was apparently ignored. Overall the rate was a bit high but again the location is ideal for San Jose Airport.

This is the place to stay before an early flight out of San Jose or after a late arrival. It is minutes from the airport with a 24/hour shuttle service. The hotel is across the street from major car rental agencies and is a block away from several restaurants and the casino. Inside, the lobby is spacious with hot and cold beverages and fruits and free […] morning breakfast. There is a gift shop and a snack shop. The rooms have free internet access. Furnishings are beautiful, beds are luxurious. Mini-bars, microwaves, and other amenities. We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is conveniently located near the airport and near highways 1 and 3. The staff was very helpful especially Manfred. The breakfast and free international calls were nice surprises.

great place to stay after a late flight into CR or the night before an early-morning departure. It could not be closer to the airport, and free shuttle is convenient and runs frequently. There's a decent family restaurant (rosti pollo) within a minute or two walk. it's no fancy but for our purposes it didn't need to be.

This hotel is close to the airport, has several restaurants in walking distance and a casino across the street. It is very convenient for travelers not familiar with the area.

This hotel was great for my purposes. My husband and I flew into the San Jose Airport after a midnight flight from Denver. The free airport shuttle picked us up less than 10 minutes after getting outside and we arrived at the hotel in minutes. Needless to say we were exhausted upon our arrival. Not only were we allowed to help ourselves to breakfast […] and snooze in the lobby but the hotel staff let us into the first available room hours before scheduled check in. Clean, Secure, Pleasant atmosphere for business or pleasure.

Unfortunately, we were not able to keep our reservations due to some unforeseen changes in travel plans. We did go by the hotel on the day that we left and it is in an excellent location when traveling into or out of San Jose, Costa Rica. There is a Denny's nearby as well as a casino. Clean and comfortable hotel within minutes of the San Jose Airport. Have stayed at this hotel and the Holiday Inn next door. Both are top quality and very quick and easy access to SJO for a departing flight. Would stay and recommend both hotels for future stays.

Hampton Inn is exactly like those in the US. Provide a bag breakfast if your flight leaves to early for the regular free breakfast. Shuttle takes about five minutes to the airport. Shuttle driver took us over to the airport the night before our morning flight so we could pay our departure tax when there were no lines. Driver waited while we paid then […] brought us back to the hotel. Another option is to pay the departure tax at the hotel for an additional $5 per person. Recommend paying the departure tax befor the morning flight to avoid waiting in line. Leer más
