La ubicación súper, está cerca de los sitios de interés más importantes para los que vamos de vacaciones y tambien queda a unos pasos del metro y rodeado de buenos restaurantes. Unas instalaciones maravillosas, cómodas, aseadas y bien mantenidas. La atención ni se diga. Un equipo amable, profesional desde la señora que hace el aseo, los del restaurante y los del front desk. Mi familia y yo quedamos gratamente sorprendidos!!!

La primera noche no hubo problema, pero la segunda a las 4 de la mañana en la habitación de al lado entraron posiblemente 6 o 7 personas a hablar, los murmullos pasaron a risas, que pasaron a gritos para finalizar con música. Todo esto podría quedar en una simple molestia si no fuera porque los canales de ventilación comunicaban y no sólo parecía que […] estuvieran en mi propia habitación sino que el eco lo agravaba. Después de 2 llamadas a recepción vino la seguridad que logró animar más a los vecinos, tuve que bajar yo mismo a recepción para pedir al recepcionista que subiera y oyera con sus propias orejas el ruido que se producía dentro de la mía. A pesar de que cobran 29 dolares de parking y no tiene incluido el desayuno el hotel esta bueno, la recepcionista salvadorenia es super amable y cuando llegas a la habitacion te regalan un vino Argentino riquisimo!!!!!

"Beacon Quarters - Convenient but not Close"
Hotel room itself was fine. Bed not as comfortable as I would have liked. The site said the hotel had in-room spa services but when I called to set up a massage, I was told they no longer offer that for at least 3 months. Major disappointment. Tried to get a seat for Sunday Brunch with my party and despite half the restaurant empty at 11:30 AM, we were […] told they couldn't seat us. The hotel never made a point to let us know or recommend that we make reservations for the brunch in advance because they fill up fast. Hotel is highly convenient to the shopping on Connecticut Avenue and Metro just a couple of blocks away. Service overall was just OK. I had to tell Bell captains several times not to try and take my bags outside to the driveway because I was waiting for my transport upon check-out. The fridge in the room was more like a blast chiller because it froze all my sodas and bottled water and there was no dial to regulate it. The room's colors were a little drab. The room I was given was a handicap-accessible room even though I was not handicapped. My friend got locked into the bathroom for a couple of minutes but we were able to get her out. I didn't complain about it because I figured the hotel may have been booked solid but it was a problem. My guests were not crazy about the food on the room service menu and it is sparse with not a lot of options. The spa the hotel did recommend to our party caused on of my party to get her arm put in a sling. Do not visit Body Co spa. Overall, it was OK, but I would seek better options. Leer más
"Beacon Hotel- Worst night ever"
This was the worst hotel stay in my life. I was on the top floor and there was a staff elevator next to our room. This elevator was very noisy and kept us up all night. Also, the hotel staff was moving large furniture in the storage area above our room at 5 am for over an hour. I called and complained and the staff lied and said it was a guest and they […] would send security. There are no guest rooms above the ninth floor. The staff was dismissive at best. The hotel has a great location and great price that place it only 3-4 blocks from Dupont. The beds were very comfortable. The only downside was that I could hear people talking in the hallway because the walls were not well insulated.

I was only going to be in the room for a short time and I had a party that was very close to the hotel so I figured I would try it. My biggest complaint was the hotel's valet/garage was completely full so we had to drive a couple blocks away to park in a separate lot. Because […] we were already running late, this was a huge inconvenience. Once we checked in and got to our room, our key card didn't work. I had to go to the front desk not once, but twice to have it re-programmed. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean and our room was nice sized for a city hotel. The staff was very friendly and the location was great. The only downfall was that the rooms were a little tired.
"Convenient but room AC/Heat Poor"
Nice hotel with good amenities. However the room had a through-the-wall type heater/AC unit. It was quite noisy, controls were difficult to operate and temperature fluctuated dramatically.

My husband and I went to DC for the first time and LOVED the location of this hotel!! Our actual room was well appointed, the staff extremely friendly and the bed was fantastic! However, we would never stay in room #109 again. It was on the ground floor, the bathroom commode area wasn't big enough for a child and the ceilings in the bathroom were too […] low (I am nearly 6' tall). We had a bit of a snafu when we checked in, but the desk manager sent a bottle of wine for our trouble which was nice, but the real trouble came when we tried to sleep. The room was stuffy and people were up and down our hall (housekeeping closet and corporate meeting rooms across-my reason for lower rating on hotel service was the inconsideration of staff during the night) all night as well as fire doors slamming from people coming up and down the stairs ALL NIGHT LONG! We mentioned in a letter to the manager the day before we left and he was so apologetic and invited us back for another try at our convenience. This professionalism alone made us rethink staying there again and we will take them up on their offer next year. Give them a try!! I don't think you will be sorry if you don't have room 109! "Beacon Hotel- 4 Blocks From White House"
We stayed at the Beacon the night before a White House tour. Fortunately my husband woke up on his own because we never got the wake up call I requested. Like most places in DC, service was lackadaisical. We did have a good meal in the restaurant and the waiter was helpful. However, the decor in the restaurant is awful. Overall, the location was great and the room was good. My only complaint is the weak air conditioning. I had to set my thermometer (which was broken) to 40 degrees to ensure some comfort and keep it on. The room was extremely hot and the air conditioner seemed to blow like a fan vice cool air. We had several problems with this hotel, We had problem with the pluming that kept us from sleeping it took three visit from the (Engineer) to fix it while we were dying to sleep, then the Bathroom fan was on( very noisily) and there was no way to shut it off, you could hear it even with the door closed. The pillows were very high and they were all […] the same height. the bedding looked as if someone slept in it before. I asked for a tooth brush and never got it. "Could use new beds"
The hotel room was nice, but the bed felt cheap. I could hear the springs underneath me as I rolled around. Also, they charge $13 a day for internet access. Why can I get free internet at a Holiday Inn Express, but not at a nicer hotel?
"Great deal minutes from DuPont"
Stayed for 2 nights for a Friend's wedding and saved a hundred dollars over other hotels less than half a block away. The room was spacious and the desk and door were extremely friendly. My only complaints are that the bathroom could have been better and the bed was nearing need for replacement. The bathroom, in particular, was somewhat poorly lit (only […] one CFL overhead mandated the use of the heat lamp for decent lighting), the drop ceiling was in need of replacement (gaps and general disrepair), and the ventilation was poor (no exhaust fan). 1.The reservation stated " a bottle champagne with welcome to check-in". Didn't get the champagne until called the front desk in the midnight. 2. Didn't makeup shampoo and lotion in the second day. 3. Saw a Cockroach at Sky Bar in the first night, unfortunely a waiter didn't catch it. 4. Room is very small.

It was a nice hotel and I liked the room layout and decor and the neighborhood was great, three blocks to metro. There was a mouse in my room.Probably just a rare situation, I hope. Other than that, great hotel.

The Staff (Seline) is very rude. She rolls her eyes and breathes heavy while standing the corner end of the desk. She is not interested in solving any issues or offering any solutions, but rather just walk away or ask you to call the 800 line while she stares you down. The Beacon isn't a fancy hotel, but it's comfortable, reasonably priced, and well located for business in the Dupont Circle area (or, as the street banners now proclaim, "The Golden Triangle).

Great location and pretty good neighborhood. It was just a little far from the center of washington. But the whole area is a hotel area. So tons of taxi, bikes, trains in the area.

Exellent local ,lobby small by american standart but room was the right size and bathroom the same ,staff very nice friendly ,nice and safe place to walk late at night and close to the metro station will go back
"Beacon washington DC"
So it was my second time staying here. There's never any parking. The parking garage down the block charges half the price they charge for parking. Plus the two VOSE bottles of water where filled with tap water and already open. I drink it by mistake not realizing that I didn't break a seal when I opened the bottle.

"Nice hotel, but..."
The hotel is nice, clean and the location is good. Walking distance from The White House and the Subway is close as well. What I dislike about the hotel is that they don´t provide free internet and breakfast!
"Not even a phone call"
I had a reservation with the Beacon and when I showed up there after driving for almost seven hours, they told me that due to the many conferences happening in DC and their influx of customers, they relocated me to another hotel of the same caliber. I was very dissapointed not only because I stayed there a few times before and I considered myself a […] loyal customer, but because I didn't even receive a call to be notified by the change. I had chosen the Beacon based on the distance to where my workshop was and now I had to walk for 30 minutes from the new hotel to the location of the workshop. "Beacon Hotel in the Golden Triangle"
I was totally disappointed with this hotel. First of all I booked a king sized bed, when i was given my key I entered the room to find a double bed. When I called back to the front desk and although the attendant acknowledged that I reserved a king size bed had two king sized rooms left with Murphy beds only. I decided to stay with the double beds but […] the beds were so hard it felt like I was sleeping on a cardboard box with very little cushion. But the final straw was the air conditioning unit was so loud that everytime it cut on it woke me up throughout the night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone except for the location. Leer más

The Beacon bills itself as a modern boutique-style hotel (a la the Kimpton boutiques in NYC.) While not as glitzy and streamlined, the Beacon still delivers on a above-average styling and a couple classy touches. The hotel is SMALL though, much smaller than I expected. I stayed in the Ambassador Suite, which was offered to me when I arrived to check into my standard room, only to find that the standard rooms were fully booked (I arrived very late, at 11:00 p.m. to check in.) This hotel was just okay. I went to check in early and they didn't have any rooms which i thought was odd because I've never had trouble with early check-in in other DC hotels. The rooms themselves were clean and the bed is comfortable but there is almost no space to do anything else. The TV is in the closet and the bathrooms are so small i actually […] hit my head on an oddly placed shelf that must be there for counter space. The heat/air was old and very loud and totally inconsistent. i had to keep turning it on and off to accomodate the extremes in temperature. What is it about an old Holiday Inn, where they paint walls and install new beds, that make it a Boutique Hotel. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom? well you can shower and brush your teeth at the same time!

"Beacon Hotel -- did the job; bed for a night"
This is a pretty good hotel. The room was spacious enough and had everything necessary for a one-night stay. We checked in around 11pm, after calling to arrange late check in, and arrived to an unclean room. It was annoying to have to head back to the lobby, luggage in hand, at that hour, but the problem was corrected quickly. The staff was cordial […] enough. We asked for a cab to the airport that took credit cards; the cab was punctual but didn't accept credit cards. The front desk made it seem like the request was common and easy enough to accommodate. this is not a review, it is to explain my ratings above: my room was freezing (they said the A/C was on in the hotel, it was not possible to turn on heat. The room got colder (to 65) and then they kindly brought a space heater. the three computers did not work in the business center, so you best bring your own!
