Room was comfortable, but a bit small. Very clean and quiet. I didn't hear any of the street noise that I have experienced in other hotels in the same area. Short walk to Union Square.

The Hotel was very beautiful & well maintained. Polite staff, they took care of all my needs. I stay their every year because of it location & price.

This was a great hotel for the money - and very family friendly - I have a 8 yr old and and a 14 yr old - they swam in the heated pool - Starbucks in the lobby was great for me.. parking is a little expensive, but your car is safe and you don't have to worry about it. we got a city view room - could see the ocean and the tree in Union Square - beautiful at night. I will stay here again - great location!

Hilton is great place to stay in SFO. Was upgraded to the 44th floor with a city view which made our stay even more amazing. Other than parking at $45 per 24hr period, plus city tax, I highly recommend it!!!

Clean, nice, convenient, and would go again.

Room was very good. Had to pay $45 to self-park for 1 night.

The shower handle wasn't working properly but didn't hamper us. Conveniently located to Union Square/Cable Car line/Powell St Station/BART line. On-premise security readily evident. Staff very friendly. Hotel is enormous. Little bigger than what I'm accustomed to. Parking garage has pretty cool tilework worth checking out.

Nothing too special about this Hilton. Just what you would expect. Limited choice for dinining and lobby bar was small and not open in the early evening

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and the staff very professional. The lobby was a comfortable great place to people watch while I waited for friends to pick me up. I would certainly stay here again.

The hotel was very comfortable and nice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Although we upgraded to a junior suite, the regular rooms we have had are great. However, this time the suite was near the elevator and the noise factor was to much at night. The view was amazing.

Really nice room. Great location near theatre district, union square and shopping. We got a great deal.

outstanding two night stay. close to everything...short cab ride to see wicked. staff very helpful at check-in. bed very comfortable. room very nice and very clean... lots of pillows. walking distance to great food. less than 5 minute walk to union square. felt very safe at night walking in the area. would recomend this hotel for any stay in downtown san francisco

The facilities were wonderful and the staff was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Obviously, hotel management devotes a lot of attention to ensuring that the staff is very helpful and friendly. The effort pays off. I would go back again because of the wonderful staff.

Nice hotel, small room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. It was close to the bus line, the BART, the trolley, Chinatown and lots of shopping opportunities. The housekeeping staff was especially cordial. The room was roomy and very clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I arrived to the hotel at 3pm via walking from the Bart and it only took me 5 minutes. It was super easy to find. They had several doormen who greeted you upon your arrival. The lobby was bustling with excitement since it was Halloween. There were only a few people ahead of me to check-in. The whole process was about 5 minutes. So fast. I got directions to my room (requested something quiet not near the elevators) and headed to tower 3, 14th floor. When I got to my room I was what I expected. It was perfect size for 1-2 people. The bathroom could only hold one person at a time so you would have to take turns getting ready. But it was fine for me. I knew therwouldn't be a bathtub but so wished there would have been. I relaxeddor a bit then headed down to the concierge for directions for dinner. Super helpful and they even made reservations for me without being asked. Everything is in walking distance. There are 2 starbucks close by that are cheaper than the one in the lobby. There's even a walgreens close by where you can get drinks/snacks for your room without having to use the mini bar. The lounge was wiper convenient as well and has a glass wall so you can see outside and people watch. The bartenders were great!! I go super sick for my remaining 2 days in SF so I didn't really leave my room except to get take out and cold medicine. The bed and all the pillows were sent from heaven. My only compalint I guess would be the cleaning woman who kept knocking on my door everyday when I clearly had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. I was sick and trying to sleep and she wouldn't get a clue. Also, you can hear all the doors opening and closing like they are right next to you. Not the biggest deal but slightly annoying when you are trying to rest. Checkout was easy. One phone call and I was off to the Bart to catch my flight home. Oh, I couldn't wait to get home and be sick there instead of in a hotel room. I will definitely stay there again. I need to go back since I di

The hotel cost a lot, parking was really expensive. The hotel was very big and we had to wait 20-30 minutes just to check into the room. I would not stay there again, I like smaller hotels, that don't cost as much.

I love this hotel, I have stayed here 3 times and it never dissapoints. The beds are very comfortable and you can have excellent views from some of the rooms. The only negative is the cost of parking.

I wanted a birthday get a way in San Francisco and this hotel had great reviews. It's a great location just a few blocks from Macy's in Union Square and BART. We paid extra for the city view but it was a beautiful room. Big hotel! And I got lost a few times trying to find my tower but they have security everywhere and they were helpful. Everything was very clean and staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I got up early to go to the hot tub and it was being cleaned (always good) but man worked quickly to get it done for me and other visitors. The pool is very nice and quite warm (it was chilly that weekend). You get a Starbucks continental breakfast with your stay - you just go downstairs and order drinks/pick out fruit and pastries. Didn't try restaurant and room service was so pricey we skipped it. There's two Indian restaurants just across the street from main entrance. I got takeout from Naan N Curry one night (casual buffet). The staff there was very friendly and I thought the food was great. Much better deal than room service and quite convenient! The only downsides were: hot and cold water in shower seemed reversed - very slow to change temperature. Also parking is $50/night. (Outrageous!) There are some nearby garages that charge much less but we had our baby wanted to be close. I wish the room had a fridge. We are thinking of coming here again if we get a good rate. I really like the location.

Outstanding hotel, good vfm, good location - a smallish room for the number of people (3) but ok just to crash for the night.

The hotel is in a terrific location close to Union Sq, China Town and the cable car and all within easy walking distance. The room was small and located ajoining the elevators which could be heard operating all night. It was bothersome and frequently interruped sleep.

FOR SUCH A LARGE COMPLEX, THIS HAS TO BE THE FRIENDLINESS GROUP OF EMPLOYEES I HAVE EVER COME UPON. FORM MGT TO HOUSEKEEPERS, ALWAYS A SMILE...ALWAYS A HELLO! I AM IMPRESSED!

This hotel was great. The rooms were very nice and clean and the location was walking distance from most of the neighborhoods. The concierge service went above and beyond to assist us and even called the train station to get information for us when we had to leave town for the day. I would definitely stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone especially those coming to the city for the first time.

I had a very nice room. It was somewhat small; however, it was great for me because I was by myself.

Hotel was great but the surrounding area wasnt. Very dangerous at night for kids!!!!

Hotel maids cruising the halls asking you everytime you leave your room whether or not they can clean and when, even though the do not disturb is on the door. No mini bar. Both telephones in the room did not work. The ethernet cable in the room did not work, and you had to pay for wireless services, which was only available in the lobby. This should not be rated as a 4 star hotel. It was very generic, and the all amenities either did not work or you had to pay for them.

Wonderful stay except for very slow check in and check out.

The hotel room we were given was extremely small. We booked for 4 adults and when we checked into our room it only had amenities set for 2 people. We had to request more towels and glassware to accommodate the four of us. The room was supposed to be non-smoking but turned out to have a bad smokey odor. We called to the front desk to tell them we requested a non smoking room and they said all their rooms were non-smoking. They offered to send up a device to deodorize the room while we were out. That did not happen. I would not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel was located within walking distance to Union Square, shopping and great restaurants, also a easy walk from the Powell St. BART station. Check in was easy and it was nice to have the Starbucks in the lobby waiting for us when we arrived. The bed was so comfy we just melted into it's fluffiness after a full day of walking around the city.

the difficulty getting back into the room. the door and closing mechinism were misalighed making entry with a key or without. . .difficult.
