"Was a good hotel for the price."
The hotel was really nice, the only thing would be that the beds were kinda hard (I am really biased as my own bed is memory foam, lol), and the sofa bed was not in good shape at all, one part was broken, luckily it worked enough for my kids to sleep on it but we weren't able to get it to fold back up at the end of our stay. "Hawthorne Suites"
My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is set up with multiple small two story buildings with each door opening to the outside. The neighborhood is somewhat industrial, although other major hotels are located here, it was a little dark around the hotel. The breakfast was good and I would return again for the low price I paid.

"Convenient location and parking"
The room had many convenient features including a kitchen, microwave, regular size coffee pot. The counter space and bench in the bathroom area was convenient. It was quiet, comfortable and convenient. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

"Nice for Family Holiday"
The only thing that was wrong with our suite is the sofa bed was broken and would not pull out... We did not discover this unitl bed time. We did report the sofa when we checked out. The hotel staff were great. We actually left behind our phone charger and they mailed it to us.
"Spacious but not comfortable"
My stay was during Christmas time, 2011. The suite was spacious with a full kitchen but the room was poorly insulated. With the furnace running it was hot and when it stopped it was cold. Bathroom layout is poor but mostly useable. Wireless never did work even after contacting their technical support. Breakfast was better than expected. The complex […] was maybe half full but they still put a large and noisy family above me when they could have been placed away from others. Surprisingly nice for the money. Bed wasn't rock hard so I slept pretty well. Clean and well kept, would stay again.

"We've stayed here many times"
We usually stay here when we go to Wichita. It's close to my dad's house and it's a good location in Wichita. Guests can get passes to Genesis Health Club. We took advantage of this and went to a group fitness class. Unfortunately, Genesis is kind of far away. The staff is very friendly and rooms are clean and roomy. I appreciate having a full kitchen, […] although we rarely use it. I always enjoy getting a log for the fireplace in winter time, although they charge $5 for them now. "East Wichita Hawthorn Suites"
The staff were all outstanding, including house keeping. Breakfast was great and better than most places with a wide variety of things to choose from. Hotel is older and shows wear and tear, but would still choose to stay there again. All the pluses out weigh the minus'.

The room was clean but the traffic noise was constant. Located in a relatively undesirable location. No restaurants, etc. withing easy access.
"Such a crummy experience - Never again!"
As a camping experience it really wasn't bad, but as a hotel stay, it was horrendous. Rarely do I write reviews, but this miserable experience prompted me to do so. The list of issues is long, but the highlights are: 1. A/C that didn't work 2. Room that stank of dog 3. Sheets that where filthy and appeared reused, unwashed. 4. "Hawthorn East very comfortable for family"
This property had everything we were looking for when our family visited relatives in Wichita for a week: non-smoking rooms, a kitchen, an outdoor pool for those 100-plus degree days, and a separate room for the kids. We stayed in a King Suite. Breakfast was included and extensive: biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, […] waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juices and coffee. YUM. On Monday through Thursday, there is a complementary happy hour with very good food and soft drinks. Although it is located on the east edge of town, its quick access to Kellogg Avenue means that you can get anywhere in town in 20 minutes. The kitchen has sufficient utensils, place settings for 6, microwave, stove, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, cooking pans, but no blender. Coin laundry is on site. Towels were fluffy, bed was very comfortable, and the climate controls were good. The surrounding neighborhood is nothing special, but it is far enough from the major roads to be quiet. There is lots of shopping wiithin a mile, but you'll want to have access to a car. There are great restaurants in town if you know where to look- Thai Tradition, Hog Wild BBQ, Cinnamon's Deli, Sabor in Old Town, Byblos on West 13th. Freddy's Frozen Custard. I was very impressed with our stay at Hawthorn Suites in Wichita Kansas. As we first entered our room, I was struck with the overall cleanliness and spaciousness. There was a fireplace to the right, a loft above with a queen size bed and bath, vaulted ceilings, 2 tv's, a full kitchen, and everything you could possibly expect or need. I am a late sleeper, so along with a late check out time, I really appreciated the heavy window coverings that made the room dark as possible when the sun came up. Enjoyed our stay. Room was very nice & comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and only problem was not enough sitting room. Guess everyone decided to eat at same time but it worked out OK.

For entire 5 nights and 6 days, suite was bug-infested, even though personnel sprayed three times. They said they were unable to get an exterminator until after our departure. Also, the furniture was "tired".

Convenient location right off turnpike did not make up for uncomfortable bed and rock hard couch.

Hotel is in a more industrial area, but it is a fairly quiet neighborhood and the staff is friendly. The first room I had smelled like smoke so they readily moved me to another room. The room is a pretty good size but nothing is modern, so don't expect frills. Overall, the experience was perfectly adequate for my quick businesss stay.

We really enjor our stay at the hawthorn Suites, it was big enough for all our family. Great kitchen to prepare our meals and a wonderfull breakfast every morning for all of us. Complementary passes for the Gym was great. The only dowside of it all was the sofa bed in the living room was not in good condition. They might need to spray for bugs.

We came to this hotel from CA for a funeral. The room was very large and came with a full kitchen, making the price very worthwhile. The rooms aren't luxurious but they were comfortable. "Visit for a Day or a week."
Courteous staff, Excellent room, thick towels with central heat so I didn't have to listen to the heater all night. Altogether a 5 * experience. The hot breakfast was very good with fresh whipped eggs rather than the "egg pancakes" that I've gotten at other locations.
