"Great room for the money"

On first day, noticed that coffee pot and remote control did not work. The remote was replaced, the coffee pot was ignored due to hot water in the lobby along with a continental breakfast. Beds were clean and comfortable.

"Adequate, not luxurious"

This was not a modern luxurious hotel but was quite adequate if you need a clean bed at a good price. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful although there was a slight language barrier. A continental breakfast was good with fresh fruit, cereal and muffins/pastries.

The carpets were slightly damp in my room giving me a sinking feeling they were loaded with bacteria. I kept my sandals on.

- Price was reasonable for the quality of the hotel. - Staff was polite & helpful - Sufficient parking even on a busy weekend. - will stay here again , if I visit Torrance

The Torrance Travelodge was clean and well ran. The staff was nice. The room was a decent size and had comfortable beds. The neighborhood was a little scary looking, but the Mexican Restaurant right next door was fabulous! Good value for families on a budget!

Amenities offered comparable to four star rating. Surprised and very pleased. Will stay there again over the Holidays.

"Not bad for the money"

The bed was VERY comfortable. We had a non-smoking room but it was on the 2nd level so when we turned the bathroom fan on, we smelled smoke. They gave us air freshener. Good breakfast - muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, milk, fruit, toast.

Had a motel feel to it, and some strange decor such as a paisley covered futon couch, but overall a good value.

"Never again"

Hotel room was clean. That was it. TV worked although you couldn't see any channels on it. We will never stay there again. I have never stayed in a Hotel.com room before that was this tacky. The room phone and alarm clock were not operational. Where they installed the smoke alarm you could see the holes in the ceiling. The furniture,etc.. was old and looked very cheap...couch had a cover on it that looked bad. The office worker the next morning didn't give us proper information to reach the internet so we could get back on it when they turned it off before we left the hotel.

"Worn but not shabby"

The hotel staff was very professional and polite. The location is in the heart of Torrance and was convenient. The hotel is worn, but not shabby and the bed was fine. No PPV movies. Overall good for sleeping at.

"Marginally Acceptable Motel"

The check-in went smoothly but I was surprised that I was required to leave a $20.00 deposit on my credit card. This charge was "voided" during check-out AFTER I mentioned that I wanted to have it charged back to my credit card. I'm not sure what would have happened if I didn't make this request. The room was marginally clean and there were a few ants that didn't cause too much of a problem. The drapes on the front window covered up the vent on the air conditioner which meant folding the bottom of the drape up so that we could get cool air blowing into the room. The room was smaller than expected for the price.

"Good room for the money"

The hotel was good for the amount charged. The braekfast it includes could be better - no opportunity to toast the small bagels provided and fruit selection very limited. The room was definitely OK but it needs a little updating - painting, that sort of thing. It was very convenient, clean and definitely met our needs.

On first day, the bathroom smells. I am not sure what kind of smell that was. It could be the shower curtain or the drain. But when I informed the management about it, they take action immediately. It was fine after they had it cleaned.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was exceptionally soft. The ammenities exceeded our expectations. A fridge and a microwave were included in the room and came in very handy. For the wonderful price, this hotel went above and beyond what we expected and was a very short drive to the pier for our cruise with Royal Caribbean.
