This hotel was great! It was all that we had hoped it to be! It was clean, the people were friendly. It had a very relaxing atmosphere! We sat at the side of the ocean, on the patio for hours, just enjoying the waves! We had a ocean view room on the 3rd floor, and we could look out onto the ocean. with our balcony door open we could listen to the ocean […] all night! Total stress relief! Nice hotel, clean, beautiful view. Plan on spending lots of money tho!

We visited for golf package. The price was 1 night with 2 pax 1-day unlimited round included. The golf course was wonderful! We were lucky to experience both Fazio and Arnord Parmer. The location was quiet and we were happy after spending 1 week in Waikiki.

This hotel was beautiful!!! The choice of restaurants were great. The Surfer Bar just opened prior to our arrival so there were still lots of opening events occuring but this just added to the atmosphere of the hotel as por Surfers were frequenting the Bar. Great piece of property and a nice break from the mob of the city. Hotel offers many great amenities and activities. Room was clean, though the bathroom was in need of major remodeling.

Turtle Bay is a nice enough hotel, but not upscale enough to warrant the room price. It's also on the far northern tip of O'ahu, so far from restaurants, shopping, etc. The price is too high given the small rooms and distance from activities.

enjoyed our stay very much...the staff was great. restaurants were good. i think the only negative was the bathrooms needed updating, and there was no mini bar.

We enjoyed our stay during the convention. We had a junior suite - which accommodated a small debrief discussions every night in preparation for the next day's plenary sessions. The in room service was excellent. In all, this was a great opportunity to drive to the North Shore. I have not been to Turtle Bay for 2 years. Maika`i and aloha!

We had an Ocean Front Delux room. The room had an amazing view! The rooms look like they are in transition, like they are redoing them but have not finished. The bathrooms are dated but arnt that bad and the room itself is bare and needs more artwork and something to fill the empty space. I kind of felt like I was staying in a room in my house that […] I was still working on. For us however the view was worth it so we still had a good time and expected this based on the other reviews I had read. When we were there the jacuzzi was shut down and also one of the resturants (it was getting remodeled) which was a bummer. The pool side food was just "ok" and service varied, one day it was great another day it was slow. Dinner at Leonardo's was really good. We also had dinner at the place on the beach, my husband loved his but I didnt like my mushroom orzo (it was the only vegetarian dish there). I would reccomend snorkling by the beach resturant. They rent snorkal gear and beach chairs to hotel guests for free. We saw all kinds of cool fish and saw several sea turtles eating and swimming. The pool by the bar is freezing cold, however the pool with the slide is warm so go in there instead. We took a helicopter tour of Oahu from Paradise helicopters which was really cool and the helipad is right by the parking lot at the resort (warning its hard to find bring your map). Overall I would stay here again and just hope that next time the hotel is more finished in their remodel process. It has the potential to be a really amazing place. Leer más

We had a brilliant four nights here as part of our honeymoon. Our room, though not fancy, was clean and spacious, and the pool area was great. The staff were really nice too and went out of their way to make our trip feel extra special. The North Shore area is unspoilt and simply stunning - we didn't find loads else to do near the hotel, so it's not […] one for party animals, but if you're looking for a relaxing or romantic break it's ideal. We ate at most of the hotel's restaurants and I would particularly recommend Ola (where we had dinner on the sand) and 21 Degrees North. All in all, a lovely hotel. Leer más

Wonderful location and very pleasant stay. Excellent food.

Food is pretty pricey, but other than that, our stay at Turtle Bay was perfect. We went horse back riding and relaxed on the beach. The water was cold and it was a bit windy, but that is probably typical for October. Lots of turtles in the bay and several clean beaches to explore right outside of the hotel.

There are nicer resorts on the island for the amount you pay for these rooms.

There is nothing not to love about the hotel. Great location, great beaches, nice restaurants, nice rooms. The bathrooms a bit outdated, but overall clean and nice. Would definitely stay there again.

This was my first time in the north shore and it proved to be the best vacation I had had in a really long time. The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly. I totally recommend this hotel

This is the second time we stayed at TBR with our last visit being 18 months ago. We were very disappointed that the service, cleanliness and amenities have significantly deteriorated. We would not stay at TBR again.

A great place to stay, great customer service, very nice ocean view. I am sorry, i couldn't stay more than one nigth.

Our room was clean and comfortable, the pools were great (our kids loved them!) and the snorkelling was good. The only issue was food. When we arrived in the afternoon, the impromptu coffee shop in the lobby had closed, so the only option was room coffee. We had dinner and brunch at Leonardo's. This is our 4th time at Turtle Bay Resort and not our last. It is one of my favourite hotels in the world. The location, room size, facilities and staff are all fantastic.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly, clean, enjoyed all restaurants except the one on the beach, neither of our meals were good. Not very pleased with the $25 per day resort fee. We did not use any of the services the fee was implemented for and felt ripped off having to pay the fee on services we did not use.

Nice resort, close to Waimea Bay. Like most Oahu hotels it's a little dated and could benefit from a renovation. Great pool area and staff are nice.

This hotel is up on the north shore so you'll have to rent a car, but it's worth it to rent the car see the sights and stay at this awesome hotel! Such a great experience! The atmosphere at the hotel is exactly what we were looking for when we decided to go on our honeymoon to paradise (aka: Hawaii.)

Turtle Bay Resort is one of only two resort/hotels in the area. Keep the country country is the local slogan and in reality it makes sense. The locals don't want another Waikiki on the North Shore. This hotel however is aging and the rooms feel dated. The resort is repairing and updating the building however it still feels old. We left the Halekulani […] Hotel to spend 5 days at Turtle Bay Resort and the difference in service and elegance was astounding. The staff & services at Turtle Bay were disappointing. Staff who were more interested in their own conversations with each other than customer service, poor attention to detail, and a distinct 'I would rather be somewhere else' attitude. Whilst waiting in line at the concierge desk (which closes at 6pm) I heard two staff asking to go home early so they could catch up with friends. House keeping leave feedback forms on your bed left a form already filled out by a couple from Canada (& all their details) on our bed, twice. The restaurants are very average. On the upside the pool is good as is the location. Great bays for spotting turtles, SUP boarding and a swim. All in all the resort is overrated and over priced. Its not a bad place to stay, just underwhelming. Rent a house. Leer más

Perfect one night getaway. Every room and restaurant had nice views. You can tell it is an older hotel and the room we stayed in hadn't been renovated in some time.

Resort was no where near 4 star quality it is in the middle of nowhere which is nice if you want to play golf but the facilities on resort as in restaurants etc were very low standard. We were meant to stay for 5 nights but would have gone insane so checked out early and headed back to the city. Excellent place to stay at...esp for a romantic getaway!

It was a very nice resort. they were doing repairs on the roof and it was loud. Yes, they started the work at 0800am but some people like to sleep in on their vacations. We went to the pool almost everyday but it was very windy. We needed to position ourselves a certain way to eat or else everything would blow away. The first three nights, we had something […] in our wall. At first, i thought it was a wire that was hitting our wall due to the wind and construction but it would only make sound at certain times of the day. i finally going fed up with the sound and called the Manager. He upgraded me to a room on the sixth floor but didnt tell us it was a handicap room until we got to the door. The Manager didnt even come and move us or call to see if we were okay with everything. he just sent a bell boy and had him tell us that it was a handicap room at the door of our new room. Other than it being handicap (meaning sink lower, smaller shower, smaller bathroom) it was nice. It had a great view. The travel to anywhere to do any shopping or activities other than the resort ones, we had to drive about an hour each way. Leer más

We live in Honolulu and wanted to get away from town for a nice weekend so we decided upon Turtle Bay Resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was gorgeous on the top floor facing the ocean - the perfect view. Huge bathroom with marble floors, ironing board w/ iron, complimentary toiletries that smelled amazing, flat screen TV in our […] room, beautiful bed linens, etc. Top notch room. My only complaint is that they put a $150 hold on my card and charged the $25 resort fee upon arrival, which I thought was already included in the price I paid for the room. No where on the website does it mention this hold and I was taken back and surprised. I do want to mention that there was a large group of locals, maybe 15 of them, that took over the hotel. They were loud, hanging out in the lobby playing guitars and singing and wrestling inside the lobby. They brought their own food and were eating off paper plates and sitting on the floor by the fancy restaurants. Then, they decided to get into the pool and splash around and get everyone else wet and just be plain rude and annoying - sitting on each other's shoulders and launching them across the pool, not caring about anyone else. The hotel staff did nothing to calm them down or even ask them to leave. It brought down the value of the place in my opinion. It's a resort, not a Motel 6. If you're going to stay at resort, you should not act like you are at a family BBQ at the park in the middle of the lobby. It's not Turtle Bay's fault that these people are rude, I just wish the staff would have made them leave. Leer más

Beautiful resort and hotel, decent beaches, good pools, great restaurante and bar staff, very friendly hotel staff. However, the Bell Hop group left much to be desired, We arrived in a pouring rainstorm, couldn't get in under the canopy with the car, so had to unload the vehicle in the rain, while my wife tried to get a luggage cart, only to have it […] literally ripped out of her hands by a bell hop that snarled that 'This is MY job' then he practically ran over her foot to get to where my by-now soaked luggage was. Also, upon departure, we had arranged to have the bags picked up at the room while I brought the car around to the canopy but they forgot to send someone up, and my wife had to lug all the stuff downstairs, though the bell hops at the canopy made SURE I knew I couldn't park there for too long...... Aside from the rude pushy bell hop group, though, it was a most enjoyable stay. One thing I dont understand is why the resort does a separate 'Resort Fee' of $25 per day; Why not just up the price of the room to include that $25 and be done with it. Leer más

Selected Turtle Bay after initially seeing it featured in the "Sarah Marshall" movie but never thought it would be so affordable but it actually was akin to rates in Waikiki. However, that is where the comparison with that crowded bit of coastline stops. Turtla eBay was ever bit as charming as it was in the movie and then some. The relaxed atmosphere, […] location right on the bay, friendly staff, and great amenities made this a perfect honeymoon getaway. The only thing I would change would to add a casual dining option that featured local cuisine (i.e. more Hawaiian food) but that is a very small oversight. Do yourself a favor and stay here! There is a mandatory charge by Turtle Bay when you get there of $25 per night. This is not very clear on hotels.com. The place is beautiful though. Out in the country on the island of Oahu. the hotel was great and staff friendly, only complaint is the $25/night "resort fee" for things like coffee and gym access, which in my opinion should be included in the cost of the room

ROOM: We stayed for only one night in an ocean front guest room. the view was great but the room was very basic and part of the ceiling had massive water damage. we did like that there was a second sink with mirror and closet that was separate from the actual bathroom. also, the beds are very comfortable. FOOD: we had dinner at 21 degrees north which […] was quite tasty. the room service we had for breakfast however was atrocious! definitely the worst eggs benedict i've ever had (no chance of a properly cooked poached egg) and the hash browns weren't even cooked! unbelievably, it was $115 for 3 plates, 1 juice and a tea!!! OUTSIDE: the pool area was fairly disappointing as i was expecting something a little more grand. the surrounding grass areas become very muddy and disgusting. we took surfing lessons through the on site school and had a great time! our instructor, Mikey, had a great attitude and was very helpful! definitely the highlight of our Turtle Bay stay! Great value for this hotel and location. Room a little dated but the pools and grounds are beautiful. Nice beach for snorkeling, another for surfing / boogie boarding. Loved our stay. We will be back.

There was plenty to do at the resort when we first got there they upgraded our room. When we arrived at the room there was only one bed so we called the front desk and within minutes they moved use to another room with a great view of the beach. My daughter was with us and she is five and she alternated between the beach and the pool she was a happy […] little girl. She also thought the parots in the lobby were cool too. The price of the breakfast buffet and the prices in general were a little expensive so we chose to eat away from the resort. Overall we would stay on the northshore again it was close to alot of fun things to do. Leer más
