We origionally booked this hotel thinking it would be a nice; inviting hotel. Upon arival, We walk to our room which are all outside accessable; to find the doors and window seals are in terrible shape. They have rest everywhere and look like it has not been painted since it was built. We stayed on the second floor so for us to leave we had to walk […] down an exit stairwell. Other than being rusty, the stairway floor looked like they had a leak bc there was a puddle between levels (inside stairwell). I would not recommed this hotel to anyone nor will i ever stay here again. Leer más

The first floor room had no cell phone service, nor did the door lock work. The fifth floor room had cell service and a wind off the ocean moaning through the door. The plumbing began to thump at 7am and the carpet installers began to hammer at 7:30 am. The hotel accommodations and staff were great. Wonderful breakfast buffet and management ensured our stay was safe and secure. The town, however, not good. Dangerous people!

Amazing view with truck stop amenities. You get what you pay for.

Stayed for our Honeymoon after Hotel we had booked was Horrid. Found Double tree, came back 4 years later for anniversary

Perfect for couples with kids who want some privacy ;). There's a door between the front living-room area and the bed room. Every room also has an ocean-view balcony. Nice! Pool was nice, with conveninet poolside bar and grill.

We spent a Friday night at the Double Tree and it was a very pleasant experience. Love the pool and the location being right on the beach. The building is looking a bit shabby but understand that it will go under renovation soon. There are three things: The entryway into the parking lot is not well marked - the sign is obscured by shrubbery and being […] the first time there it was difficult to find. We loved the suite but who designed the toilet/shower setup with such a large door? I'm only 130 pounds and had trouble entering the room, turning around and shutting the door. Lastly, the coffee was dreadful - Wolfgang Puck's in the room was undrinkable and the coffee in the dining room tasted burnt. Food was great though! This is a wonderful area with lots of choices in activities and places to eat. I enjoyed the hotel and wish I could have stayed longer but I hated being on the first floor. I should have asked for an upper room but when I checked in I was too tired. Nice staff that started with a warm cookie. We went dancing in old Melbourne at a place recommended by […] the Hotel called Matt's Casbah, it was a good tip and we had fun. Also woke up in time for sunrise on the beach and got some great photos. I spoke with the Pool guy named Nick. He was from New York and it was fun to talk with him. The hotel and our room was beautiful! Clean and fresh!! Room service was prompt, yummy and reasonable!! A relaxing place to enjoy the ocean and just read a book on the balcony. Wonderful!

The shower leaked all over the floor, the sink was clogged and emitted a terrible stench. Lights were out throughout the room. I expected a lot more for a Hilton hotel. This is my first "bad" review and I have stayed at numerous hotels.

When went to put sheets on pullout couch, the mattress pad was covered with dead knats. The shower floor was hairy, dirty and covered with mold. Location is right on beach so that part was nice.

In Florida for launch of STS 135 shuttle. Stay at Doubletree in Melbourne was MOST relaxing. Facilities were easy to get to and to access evrything we wanred to see. Highly recommend

Overall the hotel was pretty awesome. We stayed on the second floor and we were a short walking distance from the ocean. The view from our hotel balcony was really nice and hearing the ocean waves from our balcony was soothing. Room service food was alright. We ordered one breakfast and one dinner. Rooms did not have wireless internet but did have a […] wired network connection. No dvd player but did included two 32" or so flat screen tvs. Cable channels were very limited no comedy central, espn2, etc. We had to call the lobby for towels, hand towels, and wash clothes daily because room service never left us more a full set of two of each, sometimes they left none at all. The room was fair priced since prepaid in advance so we got a pretty good deal and like I said it was an oceanfront room so overall I'm happy with my stay. Leer más

The food was good in the hotel and the service was nice/good which is not always the case inside a hotel. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Very good views awesome place for a family. A+ and I am a bit of a hotel snob.

The food at the pool bar and breakfast buffet was very good. The service was very good throughout the hotel; they seem to want to please you. The facilities are kind of old, and they've updated the rooms with nice bedding and flat screen TVs. However, the bathroom was a gross shower with a sliding glass door. I called and complained, and they cleaned […] it somewhat, but there was only so much they could do with it. The lobby bathrooms and pool bathrooms are clean and remodeled. Super quite clean and great breakfast!

Fathers Day weekend: First glance wasn't impressed with the "motel sytle" of accessing your room, however, as soon as we opened the door we were very impressed! The room was clean, fridge and microwave in working order, 2 flat screen TV's very impressive! Living area furniture well kept and the bed was very comfortable (and I'm picky). I wasn't thrilled […] with the view from the balcony (as I'm picky) so after calling the front desk to change rooms, they were able to switch our room immediately. We requested to have a room next to our friends who would be arriving later and even though they didn't guarentee it, they made it happen! Hotel is right on the beach, beautiful views, pool and hot tub good sizes, the the pool restaurant staff were very polite and very efficient (food pretty good for pool side ;). Employees very hard working to keep the hotel clean including a manger in slacks, long sleeve dress shirt out by the pool (in 90 degree weather) taking the trash out and offering to dispose of meal trays for guests! He deserves a raise! ;) My only negatives were the balconies were very tiny (not a big deal) the hotel breakfast way over priced and the two person band that played outside under the tiki were horrible! - just went down to the beach so I couldn't hear them (no big deal again). Not my taste in music (very soft elevator music with flute playing). The only time people seemed to enjoy the band is when they finally played songs people were familiar then people started dancing. The pool music (radio?) was much more enjoyable than the band. Overall, great stay and would definately stay again (being from Orlando)! Leer más

My husband and I were in town for a wedding, so we decided to spend a little extra on a hotel in order to get a room with a view of the beach. I'm so glad we did; not only did we get a beachview balcony, but we had a suite (couch, chair, two TVs, desk)--way more room than we needed, but especially nice if you're staying with a group. They give you a […] warm cookie when you check in. It was so convenient not to have to get in the car after going to the beach. We were only there a couple of days, but it was a gorgeous, relaxing stay. The staff seemed to come to fix the rooms late, and so they often overlapped with us and they kept knocking, which was kind of annoying. Otherwise, everything was great. Leer más

We stayed at this hotel to be close to KSC for STS-134. Staff suggested leaving at 4 a.m. for 8:55 a.m. launch, but we left at 6:15, took A1a all the way up the coast and it worked great, just over an hour driving time. Overall the hotel was a good value. A nice, clean, comfortable room. Warm cookie at check-in was a nice touch. The beach is gorgeous. We had family at a hotel down the road that was a little nicer and more modern for the same price, but I prefer that all rooms at the Doubletree are ocean facing. Didn't see any of the chocolate chip cookies that they are suppose to offer complimentary. Was concerned about the noise of the a/c that's located at the front of the building as I entered my room - but it didn't bother me since the beds are located on the far end of the room. Great for a beach week !

Nice hotel, great location. They put us on the first floor this time which was convenient but not as private (due to people walking by outside bedroom sliding doors.

Stayed for 3 nights during spring break. Nice area for families. Comfortable room. Nice view of ocean from room. Would stay again.

We loved the location right on the beach. The pool was lovely, although they could add more pool chairs during the peak season. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It was really nice to have a pocket door between the bedroom and the rest of the suite. The air conditioner was a bit noisy.

We stayed at this hotel because of its reasonable rates and its claims of "wonderful ocean views". Unfortunately, we were given a room on the ground floor (I hate ground floor rooms) and couldn't see anything but a fence and some bushes. The front desk said there were no other rooms available even though the parking lot seemed mostly empty. When we […] got to the room, the first thing we see is the badly rusted door and door frame. The room itself was furnished with outdated furniture and wasn't very clean (a bottle cap was right on the table). The TV must have been 20 years old. The bathroom was tiny (you actually have to step into the shower stall to shut the door). There was no tub. The room was freezing when we walked in because the noisy A/C wouldn't shut off even when we put the switch on OFF. We called the front desk and they sent an engineer who showed up with a wet-dry vac that must not have been emptied in years. When he turned it, the smell of its fetid stagnant contents literally drove us (and him!) from the room. It took couple hours to air the room out. I love bright airy rooms and sleeping with the curtains open. And as I said, I hate ground floor rooms because you can't open the curtains or blinds if you want any privacy. People were constantly walking past the window. That why I love higher floor rooms. But anyway, there were so many other things we didn't like about this hotel that we would never stay there again. The room was great, the view incredible and even the elevators were quick (which makes for a more enjoyable vacation with less waiting) The food and drink was excellent pool side with a great bartender. The water temperature of the pool was refreshing being a few degress warmer than the ocean. If going to the Melbourne beach area, there really is no […] other choice in regards to location and views. After reading many mixed reviews, I decided to book this hotel as it was close to my intended event and I only needed a bed to get a few hours of sleep. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived: the hotel was clean, in good maintenance, tastefully decorated, and I was greeted by courteous staff. Check-in was quick and without issue. A short while […] after settling into my room, I received a phone call asking if my room was acceptable - a very nice touch. The room on the 7th floor had a balcony with a great, unobstructed view of the ocean. The rate for this room was more than fair. The only negatives during my stay were a slow drain in the sink and noise from the pool below; I still can't believe that anybody would be brave enough to swim outdoors at night in early February. Later, when I received my credit card bill, I noticed that I was double charged for the room. One quick 5 minute resolved the issue to my satisfaction. My stay, although brief, was wonderful and I would recommend this hotel. If I return to the area, I plan to stay here again. Leer más

Wonderful hotel, great view from balcony, great pool and beach. We ate there and the food was great. One thing, after some people left their lounge rental on the beach, they told me I could use it. The guy running the rental would not let me sit on it and took it down immediately. This was around 6:00 PM and I was only going to use it maybe 1/2 hours […] tops. Everything else was wonderful. Our room was very clean and well kept. Yes, the suites are somewhat small, but they were nice nonetheless. Bedroom was a decent size though. The hotel staff were very friendly. It was a great stay overall. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed at another hotel the night before and the Doubletree the next night. We really upgraded with the change. The other hotel had a patio with oceanview which was the only good thing about that hotel. Doubletree was much more updated and clean.
