This hotel is fair but certainly has it's issues. I think it is mainly a management issue. One of our room keys did not work and over the course of our 2 night stay it was taken to the front desk 3 times and was never fixed. One of the the managers suggested that perhaps we had put it near our credit cards. They promised to send someone up to look at […] the lock on our door which never happened. On our second day room service made our bed like a 7 year old. Basically threw the spread on it with no regard to neatness and then stuffed a couple of towel on the hand bar right near the toilet. We were disappointed. Definitely expected more from a Sheraton hotel. The manager really didn't seem too concerned though she did give us breakfast tickets to their restaurant buffet which was really messy. They do not take the time to maintain it. Syrup all over the table. I would recommend the Waterside Marriot instead. We have stayed there and previously but they were booked during those nights. Leer más

The Hotel was close to most sights we want to see, also things was close to family that we needed to visit. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the serivice was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Excellent hotel. Professional, clean, great staff, great looking furniture, colors, views, great prices, a very pleasant stay...

I enjoyed the staff and accommodations, but I admit the parking put me off. It is across the valet lot, not terribly convenient and expensive to boot.

The hotel was close to the restaraunt we were meeting friends at and parking was even cheaper than advertised

The Sheraton, is a clean quiet hotel with a great staff. Helpful and polite. It is close to downtown locations, Waterside shops, Mall, and walking distance to the New TIDE Lite Rail System.

Hotel was very convenient to everything. But parking was very expensive. Self parking was 2 blocks away and $12/day. The other option of valet parking was $22/day. Other than this, the stay was great!

Stayed in Norfolk for a holiday weekend wedding. The Sheraton offered a cheaper room rate than the hotel block offered across the street at The Marriott. Room was a very nice size. The only hassle was the parking situation... garage was located down the street, and cost $8 a day.

Great location right on the Harbor with walking paths outside the hotel. Staff friendly and very clean. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet and roomy. Good tv selection with a couple of HBO channels. We didn't have a car but it is valet parking only and they enforce that. There is an hourly parking garage across the parking lot from hotel with first […] 30 minutes free. No hot water in the evenings but when we checked out the desk person told us the boiler had broke and engineers were fixing it. We had HOT water in the mornings. The in suite internet is advertised as $9.95 for 24 hours but actually runs 3 pm to 3 am. When we mentioned it to desk person he removed one of the fees. This Sheraton location has kept up with renovations, as a mater of fact they were doing renovations of the fitness ctr during my stay. staff was very friendly & helpful. Rooms were very clean & comfortable.

This hotel was very disappointing for the price. I was expecting so much more, but the hotel had roaches. There are plenty of nice restaurants surrounding the hotel, but no refrigerator or microwaves in the room. I found myself stranded in Norfolk, with four teenagers, after missing a flight...Hopped online from the airport to hotels.com and got a great deal on adjoining rooms at this Sheraton! The hotel was perfect...comfortable, very nice common areas (pool, gym, lobby) and in an area with some cool things to do (e.g. water taxi right outside). Most of the shops near this hotel are closed. The outdoor pool area needs some maintanence. The waterfront and the hotel was NOT worth the money... stay somewhere else.

Access to this hotel is a nightmare. Their driveway can't accomodate guests coming and going meaning cars back-up and parking is non-existent, unless you don't mind walking several blocks away to a parking garage. As for food, we had both their breakfast buffet as well as a dinner buffet during a reception and were thoroughly dissapointed with the quality […] and taste of the food. How do you mess up breakfast, the easiest meal to make? Room amenities were meager at best. Room service forgot to clean our room on one of days we were there, even though we were gone all day. Overall, nice hotel. I think my room #505 was haunted, no joke. Heard someone in our bathroom both nights and my girlfriend said i sat up in the middle of the night from a dead sleep and said "someone's in the room" and i laid back down. i would never write a review but i figure i would go out of my way to let people know about this room.

We were very disappointed in our stay. When we arrived at the hotel, we stood in line waiting to check in for over 1 1/2 hours. Not once did management come by the line to appologize for the wait, we were advised when we finally reached the desk the room key machine was down. The tub had pubic hairs in it. The bed had sand in it. We arrived from the […] beach Saturday night at 6 pm with no towels. When we called the front desk, they told us they were still working on the laundry. We asked what time the towels would be done, they were not able to give a time frame. We never did end up getting towels and we had to use clean T-Shirts to dry off after our shower. Leer más

Took 45min to check in because key machine wasn't working and they didn't know what room were available so they had to send someone up ( security) to check and see which rooms were available plus when I finally entered my room there was a used wash cloth hanging from the shower curtain...

The hotel is located in an excellent location, next to the harbor, restaurants, museums, etc My biggest complaint about the hotel was the check in. It took us about an hour to check in. I was genuinely disappointed with my stay at the your hotel this week. -Paint was flaking from the door of my room #516. -Bath stopper was unscrewed and laying on top of the bathtub. -No venilating fan in bathroom. -No microwave or refrigerator in room. -No complimentary breakfast -No bathmat in bathtub used hand towel so I would not slip because I […] am a senior citizen. -No faciial soap. -No free wifi. -No free parking. This hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. They even gave us a free full breakfast when the continental breakfast on our level ran out. This always has been a great hotel, and for a fraction of what you pay at the beach, it is a great value with ferry access to Portsmouth and a short walk from Harbor Park. We will return.

it wasn't bad didn't like having to pay for internet. took their time cleaning the room. but overall good stay

I arrived at exactly 3pm for check-in and my room was not ready as I paid for a queen room they told me it would be a 20 minute wait. So to waste time I walked over to the mall which was in walking distance upon getting back my room was ready and I actually asked could I get a king and they did accommodate that request so a very nice stay

I stayed in two different sized rooms, the first room was terrible. Unclean bath tub, closet doors off track,cracked glass picture frame that good have been dangerous and not to mention the not so fresh smell of the room. The second room was fine, it was a king size room, I had to upgrade for a clean room in the same establishment.

Beautiful location; nice clean rooms, comfortable beds. We found the clerk more than a little irritating with his unsolicited advice about my choice of booking agencies. The hotel doesn't have it's own parking garage attached. That was the only downside.

Nice hotel and downtown. Valet parking or use the parking deck. Parking not so convenient and both cost extra if that matters in your choice. Bed linen seemed very cheap for a nice hotel.

The walls in this hotel are too thin. I could hear people talking on both sides of my room

for the price the hotel is not in very good shape. most of the vending machines didn't work, the interior of the motel in the room sections was very dated and was in need of repair, cleaning or replacement.

I did not like that I had to pay for over-night parking AND pay for internet access in my room. The cheaper public lot was about two blocks away. Wi-fi is free in the lobby. Charge for one or the other, but not both. That is a bit much. I will not be going back to this hotel for that reason. Also, after a certain time, your room key will not get you […] in from the board walk/back patio area. You have to walk all the way around. Or, call the hotel front desk and ask them to send someone to let you in, like I did. Leer más

I would recommend this Hotel for anyone looking to stay at a classy place. The rooms are beautiful. one of the best hotels I have stayed in in years. Very close to many great resaurants and great shopping. Throughout the year with all the fesivals at Town Point Park you are just a 3 minute walk away from all the excitement.
