Nos ha encantado estar en esta zona de Chicago ,es un barrio fenomenal,esta cerca del metro que lleva al centro ,pero caminando se va bien,ya que es un paseo super agradable por calles muy bonitas o por Lincoln Park . Estuvimos en el hotel por una semana. La habitación esta muy bien, amplia y limpia. El servicio de desayunos se sirve en cada planta, no hay un comedor para este fin. El desayuno no es muy amplio pero cumple necesidades y es de buena calidad (los donuts son buenísimos). La ubicación es muy buena, tiene el transporte publico (metro y bus) muy cerca y puedes ir a la Golden mile a pie si se quiere. Lo peor es el nulo trato de recepción. No no ayudaron en nada y tampoco nos aconsejaron cuando les pedimos recomendaciones. No obstante, con internet suplimos este punto débil. Descansad en Amalfi y disfrutad de Chicago. Yo volvería de nuevo al mismo hotel.

Las habitaciones son una pasada, especialmente si te toca en un piso alto. Son grandes, está limpias y completamente equipadas con todo lo que se necesita en un apartamento (hasta 2 televisiones de plasma). Las camas también son muy cómodas. Además el hotel está en el mejor sitio que puede haber en todo Chicago Donwtown. Todo pilla cerca, ya sea andando, o en bus (en invierno que te mueres de fríao). Por poner algún "pero", decir que las instalaciones comunes son bastante flojitas.... el desayuno, la recepción, etc, pero las habitaciones lo compensan con creces...

Si puedes, ni lo dudes. Vete a este hotel. Limpio, amplio. Zona común con sillones, billar, mesa de pingpon. Cocina y salón para cada cuatro habitaciones. Además, cocina gigante común para todo el hotel, salas de televisión, consigna gratuíta (lleva un candado), wifi... Situación inmejorable, pleno centro.

El hotel tiene una perfecta ubicación. El restaurante sirve comida muy buena, y hay otro de bagels muy práctico. El personal es atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar en su mayoría, aunque hubo una concierge con muy mala actitud, nada amable. "Excelente ubicación"
La ubicación de este hotel me pareció maravillosa, ya que tienes la facilidad de caminar a todos los puntos de interés en la zona. Por otro lado el costo-beneficio de este hotel es MUY GRANDE!! Lo recomiendo ampliamente!

I thought this hotel was great. Very good customer service and very helpful with all questions. The rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. There is a great hometown style bar that is right across the street that I a lot of fun also. Overall, I had a great experience.

Hotel's in a great location. Three blocks from Lakeshore Dr and hard in the Loop. Lotsa restaurants and plenty of Chicago's well-known watering holes nearby. We went for the Stricly Sail boat show @ Navy Pier. Parked @ the hotel and hoofed it to the show, after a brisk walk back. The hotel was clean and the location was great. However the bathroom tub was clogged , which caused me to wait 30 minutes after my husband had his shower. The bathrooms should be updated. Also the cookies, which I look forward to eating when I stay at Doubletree were not good. They were stale.

"Decent value but don't expect too much"
I stayed 3 nights there and it was OK. Checkin was easy and first impression of hotel was positive. Having to pay for wifi is pretty insane but I knew of the charge before booking. Didn't realize that is for the SLOW wifi...if you wanted faster it was twice as much, not to mention it was completely broken one day (they did refund when I disputed the […] bill). Most annoying thing was there was no coffee maker in the hotel. I called to the front desk and was told it should be there and they would send one up. Never happened. The next day I called again and they did send one up however it didn't work. All in all it is a decent value considering I didn't pay too much, got a but I would not stay there if it were any more! We were treated with a nice warm cookie on a super cold snowy night! The room was beautiful, the location was perfect! We used the concierge & were taken care of like royalty! Every staff member we came in contact with during our weekend was so friendly & helpful!

This is an incredible value. We stayed in January, in the midst of a snowstorm. However it is 2 blocks from the Magnificant Mile, 4 blocks to Navy Pier and 3 blocks to Northwestern University Medical center. "Chicago Hilton"
Fabulous rooms, great staff. The only minor concern was there was a bit of a chill from the windows but we placed the runners from the beds along the edge of the windows and problem solved. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and was travelling with my 70 year old and seasoned traveller mom who enjoyed it as well! Ask for a city view.

We really enjoy staying at the double Tree. The location is close to many restaurants and sight seeing. Cost of parking is pricey but all hotels are. The beds are great and really enjoy O'Tool's pub right near the hotel.

we were in town for a north suburb wedding brrrr and it snowed, but so easy to walk near hotel location. 2 blocks from magnificent mile.Plenty of places to eat nearby. Staff nice and helpful. Wished they had wi-fi throughout instead of just lobby!

"Business Stay"
Shower didn't drain in multiple rooms. Parking was 45.00 and the parking attendent was rude. No communication at the front desk on how to get out of the parking lot.

"great location..minor problems"
This hotel had the perfect location for shopping,sight seeing and resturants. All the staff from the door men to the front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. When we checked in the T.V was not working. they were up dating the cableservice and one call to the front desk got a free movie rental. A 16.99 value. Then there was the heat also not […] working..After waking up to a ice cold room , stopped at the front desk and returned later that night to a toasty space.Thanks to some travel tips from the concierge we travelled the city for $5.75 dollars the cost of a transit fun pass..I would tell anyone to stay here.. The hotel was in a great location, and the concierge was very helpful with directions. The only thing I had a problem with was the cigarette butt and ashes that were on the hallway table for at least 2 days before they were cleaned up. Other than that, the hotel was great!

The hotel is in an amazing location. It is the best located hotel I have stayed in yet. The first room we were assigned to had not been completely cleaned. Evidently the person that cleaned it marked it clean, but dirty towels were thrown all over the bathroom, dirty sheets were on the floor, and the shampoo bottle was spilled on the counter. We called […] and were moved to another room which was clean and nice. Once we had our final room, we had no complaints. It was nice and comfortable with a good view. One note - beware of the mini bar! There are snacks sitting out and you are charged for removing them. If you pick it up, look at it, and then put it back, you will get charged! I'm glad I read the fine print first. The staff was always very nice and accomodating. Internet is $10/day in the room, but free in the lobby. Food is grossly overpriced so plan to eat elsewhere. The location was great, the service excellent. We got warm cookies upon check in and even the second night. The only incovenience was that the bathroom sink didnt have hot water, but that was fixed inmediatelly. I cant wait to go back.

We stayed on a Saturday night on the 6th floor. Let's just say we heard everything from traffic to every late night straggler walking in the hallway. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a good nights sleep.

"Chicago Weekend"
Chicago... Nice location, super room, very clean! Great rate for a weekend trip. Makes it reasonable to go for the weekend without spending SO much money just for the room.....
Parking for hotel guests was far too expensive. Plus, they were charging $10/day for internet? Who does that anymore. I felt nickle and dimed to death. Unfortunate.

We stayed at the Doubletree for our annual girls weekend shopping trip on the Magnificent Mile. We've been doing this trip for about ten years, and have stayed at a different location each time (depending on rates/parking). This hotel was great for what we needed. The bagel shop in the hotel was great for a quick morning breakfast. It was a short walk […] to Michigan Avenue (seemed longer since it was freezing when we went though!).
