Estuvimos durante 7 días. El hotel es muy sencillo, para lo barato que es cumple con las expectativas. Su gran ventaja es la relación precio-ubicación. A pesar de no estar en Manhatan ... La estación del metro esta a unos cuantos metros y en 25 minutos estas en Time Square. Desde El hotel puedes llegar de forma rápida y fácil a cualquier punto en NY. Vale la pena sacrificar un poco de comodidad en hotel, habitación, etc.. si solo se llega a dormir. Es limpio y las habitaciones son amplias. Recomendable!

El hotel cuenta con todos los servicios, el unico incoveniente es el estacionamiento (no cuentan) y los desayunos nada buenos.

"Very nice rooms.."
The hotel is still being renovated, but no problems. My room was really nicer than any Hilton I've stayed in. My only complaint was the lounge (on a Saturday night) closed at 11:00 pm. We were in town performing a concert nearby, had 3 bands and crew staying there. We told the manager of the lounge we would all return by 11:30 to fill the place, but […] she really didn't give a hoot. Guess they don't need the $. Other than that, the hotel is great! Leer más
"Say no to the restaurant"
My room was actually very nice, and comfortable. The lobby is going through a major renovation, it looks as though it will be very modern when done. The restaurant is another story, at least the help there. Our waiter acted as if the last thing on his mind was making our dining experience a pleasure. He knew nothing about what they had for wine by […] the glass or how to describe salad dressings. "Quiet convenient get away"
Even though the hotel was going through renovation; I still enjoyed my little weekend getaway. The complimentary breakfast was awesome!! Great staff. Heat in room was bit high but still great stay worth the cost.
"Maintenance Problem"
We returned to our room around 2 am in the morning to learn that the entire wing had to be removed to another part of the hotel due to maintenance problems with the pipes. My wife and I had to take another room. The Manager did reduce our invoice as compenstion.
"Excellent Room for a short stay"
This was by far the best experience I have had staying at Holiday Inn. The newly renovated rooms are really good. We got free breakfast even though it was not included in our package. The breakfast was good and I was even allowed to take breakfast to my room since I was not feeling well. "very nice modern rooms"
The lobby was still under some renovation but the rooms were great. Very clean and nice decor. The person who checked us in was very nice and accomodating. Would stay again
"Walls were paper thin!!!!"
The cleanliness, friendly staff, convenience, and overall appeal of this hotel were great. Unfortunately the whole experience was ruined with paper thin walls!!! We could hear the people in the next room talking (and doing other things) all night long. We called the front desk and they called the room to tell them to quiet down. The people were up until […] 5am!!!! The next morning we moved rooms and had a pleasant experience for the remainder of the trip. In the new room we could still hear TV's and people talking, but the noise was bearable and stopped around 11pm. Why completely renovate a hotel and leave the walls paper thin?!?! Renovations are nice. Very clean. Easy to sleep in, as no light can shine into a window within a hallway. Nice big screen tv, fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast is decent if arrive early. Hotel right off freeway.

"New Rooms"
Good idea on the rooms, poorly executed in the bathrooms. New wallpaper was put on so poorly, could see it peeling in so many places. Caulking was done horrible as well. Issue with the heater, makes a very odd noise every few minutes. Too much construction during sleeping hours, I was rudely awakened by hammering and jack hammers. "Great Location, Rooms All Re-Done"
I have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disatissfied. I was very happy that all of the rooms have been updated. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and the decor was very appealing. The location is right off the highway so you can travel to Eastern Long Island or in 45 minutes be in Manhattan. There all 2 Malls within 10 minutes […] of the hotel and a slew of restaurants and fast food establishments. The breakfast buffet had a very good assortment of food. "Nice decor with overpowering smell!"
Our stay at the Plainview Holiday Inn was short since we were in town only for a funeral. We usually stay somewhere else when visiting, however, since the US Open was in town....everything was alittle pricey. I wish I spent the extra money and stayed at an alternative hotel. The decor of the room was tasteful and the room was very clean. The two problems […] were someone was smoking in the hotel (which is not the fault of the facility) so the smoke was coming through the air system. Also, since the renovation, most room windows face the hallway, so there is no possible way to get fresh air from the outside. Our room had an overwhelming smell of deodarizer upon entry. The smell choked you and made your eyes burn. The general manager was very pleasant and assured me I could be moved, however, every room is sprayed using the same freshner. We decided we were not going to be in the room too much except for sleeping so we opted to stay. It was unfortunate that between the smoke and deodarizer we woke each morning with a sore throat. Our room package included breakfast which was more than adequte each morning. One note would be that the dining room chairs are heavily stained and riped. The chairs need to be replaced. Leer más

"Holiday Inn Plainview, New York"
I booked and paid for the room in advance. I booked this hotel because I thought Holiday Inn would have good service. We were attending a wedding in the area, and when we arrived to check in every minute counted for us to get in the room, get ready and leave to arrive at the wedding on time. Check in went quickly as we were the only ones at the reservation […] desk. When we got to the room and pushed open the door, the room was filthy. We were given a dirty room. When we went back to the desk, the attitude was one of "Oh well". We did get a "I'm sorry" but did not feel it. Obviously, we were rushing now to get ready for the wedding by the time we got to a clean room. We will be attending another wedding on this coming Thurs. Aug. 25 and thought of staying there, but after the service, I am going for the Four Points by Sheraton. I was wrong about this Holiday Inn. Not all of them give good service, and this one did not. "Holiday Inn/Long Island Plainveiw"
I recently stayed at the Hotel and would recommend it to anyone. It was clean, affordable and close to highways. I only had breakfast there once and it was perfect. Again, affordable and very good. I had stayed at another Holiday Inn in March and decided to stay at this one because it was less money and I do not regret it. I will stay again.

"Family Reunion"
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and had a great stay at this hotel. I stayed with my mom and my daughter and we had our meals there as well. Hotel staff was very pleasant and curteous, except for the bartenders. The waitresses and waiters were extremely wonderful, but I have to say that the 2 bartenders we were in contact with were both very […] rude and seemed very annoyed to have to serve us, and we didnt even want table service. They were kind of obnoxious, so if I have to say something bad, Id say change your bartenders. I didnt mark them off for those two employees as the rest of the staff and hotel were very accomodating and I dont think its fair to hold it against them. Next time I would report them to the manager though. We spend alot of money in the bar, entertaining family and friends far from home, including purchasing bar food in addition to the drinks. hotel is completed renovation (mostly) The TV isnt HD at this time, and the rooms have odd configuration where closet is in bathroom, and window of room goes out to a hallway which then has windows to the outside. However, the stay was comfortable, and pleasant.

The room was lovely. The only addition to room, would be a small refrigerator in empty space underneath TV. Brian A. , the night front desk gentleman, was superb! He is an asset to Plainview Enterprises, the owners of the motel.

"Good business Hotel"
Nicly new furbished rooms only wall are very tin you can hear the neighboar snoring. Service can be approved, slow check in and check out.
Staff were very polite. The room was fabolous and clean. Would come back again.

Two of our three nights sleep were interrupted by inebriated, loud and profane guests in the next room. From about 3am to 5 am. each time.

"Thin walls"
The hotel was very clean and was nicely renovated, but the walls were very thin and we could hear the room next door quite clearly.
"Plainview Hotel"
The hotel design seems to be a motel with surrounding walls. There are no direct windows to the outside but rather a window to the hallway with windows from the hallway to the outside. Amenities are good (refurbished with a more modern design), but the room feels small.
Very pleased with this Hotel. Cleanliness,location to our destignation, staff at the restaurant very nice-great place to stay at a very reasonable price. Would recommend it to anyone.

"Holiday Inn Plainview, NY"
We were in a recently renovated room. Decor very modern. Bed was great. Were unable to engage the dead bolt lock. Bathroom very nicely done but needs hooks on wall for towels and robe. Pocket door was sticky and difficult to slide. These things should have been checked before allowing guests to book this room.

Room wasnt big but it was nice and comfortable. It was clean. Place has been recently renovated so everything was new. Only downside was there was no fridge. May have been the room i booked. I didnt need one so I didnt ask about it. If you need a cheap place to stay this is a great place.

Was able to get a newly renovated room. Absolutely beautiful. As a priority member received free drink and other discounts during my stay. When major snow storm hit, they had a person with a shovel to dig us out. The gym wasn't all that great. Had very old equipment and not much, but was able to get in some cardio. Was able to get a fridge and microwave […] in room when requested, for free. The hotel is between the two major highways (LIE and Northern State). And it's about 30 minutes from city (without traffic...so don't go during rush hours). Overall, great stay! Leer más

Make sure you ask for one of the new rooms. They are under reservations. The old rooms look very tired. Staff is very nice and the new rooms are beautiful. Also if you want a King make sure you check in early or call ahead to reserve. They claim since it's 3rd party though you may choose King you may get stuck with doubles unless you do what I said […] above. Also none of the rooms have fridges, you have to call ahead 3 hrs for that too or your room won't have one. Otherwise it was a nice stay. Leer más

It's a nice hotel and it will probably be great. Staff is warm. Only negative is they are currently under construction. If you get one of the new rooms, they are beautiful. The old ones looked tired. We stayed and would stay again even with the construction.
