Somos una familia de 5 (Matrimonio y tres hijos) El hotel es sumamente conveniente, dos camas matrimoniales y sofá cama adicional en cuarto aparte. Tiene cocina....se puede comer en la habitación lo cual ahorra tiempo y dinero en muchos casos. Esta a 1:15 hs de Squaw Valley algo alejado del centro de Reno pero cercano a los servicios necesarios. (Supermarket, restaurantes, etc) Es nuevo y la gente muy amable. Que lo disfruten....ahhhh tiene pileta cubierta y hot tub....buenísimas..!!

El aeropuerto de Reno está rodeado de parques industriales, zonas residenciales y una vasta franja de zonas verdes. great hotel and facilities- stay here mutliple times a year before going skiing. a few great shops downstairs for ski wear and womans clothes, restaurants are very good- bfast buffet- not so much. dont know why theyre redoing lobby area for the umpteenth time- it seemed fine without redo- and now its getting to be a hassle to guests- drawings of the […] redo look like no great shakes either- leave well enough alone- and get a better breakfast buffet- canned fruit, and mediocre selections dont cut it!! Hotel is ok but the rooms are way too overpriced. I've stayed for cheaper on the strip in Las Vegas with amazing rooms. Only reason I didn't stay elsewhere was becasue the group O was with was staying there. Peppermill rooms are amazing and priced very reasonably for what you get. Grand Sierra, not so much.

For the money, a wonderful experience, a great room and everything at the resort that you can imagine including bowling and a movie theater. Highly recommend. Even with extensive lobby renovation currently underway, complete ease of getting through and around without any difficulty.

"Everything in one resort"
You can eat, play, sleep, soak, exercise, watch a movie, bowl, play pool, wine/dine etc. in one mega resort. This is a very appealing aspect of this hotel. They are revising it a bit (again) to modernize the facilities and make it more 'hip'. Overall, the hotel is a dramatic positive experience.

Got an extremely great deal for this hotel. The line to get registered, however, was really long. By the time I got up there, my room "type" was sold out and they had no more rooms with 2 beds. With a family of 4, we needed more room...so the check in lady upgraded us to a bigger room with a huge couch and King Bed so we could all be accommodated. GREAT […] SERVICE!! Lot's of things to do in the hotel and also nearby...if you have a car. Down side to this hotel is that it was really smoky. You smell like cigarette smoke until you take a shower. Maybe better ventilation in this establishment would make it better. Overall, I'd stay there again. Oh--and I did'nt realize it, but a lot of people brought there dogs here. "Broken Sofa Bed, note that said Broken, do not use"
Hotel room was very nice and clean and looked exactly like the picture, problem was the sofa bed frame was broken and unusable, guest had to lay on couch instead, you may want to check that first before it is time for everyone to sleep if you need.
"So much to do here"
The room was nice and clean and in good condition. We also liked the kid center and the shops and bowling alley and restaurants. So, much to do and I also got to gamble a bit. Fun time in a fun place. We were passing through to Tahoe, but next time we will stay here longer.

"Room"
Although the room was discounted, it could have been better. For what appeared to be a nice hotel, the room was basic. Beware of the "resort fee". You get two bottles of water and wifi.

The hotel room was very hot and stuffy. Could not get any air circulation.
Did not know hotel catered to animals. One evening going back yo my room almost steped in a doggie land mine. Had I known About hotel and pets I probably would have found other accomodations.
"Quiet for a casino"
Nice hotel with good amenities. Very quiet mid-week. Summit rooms were very nice-large, clean, great seating area, marble baths, fridge and micro. Food a little pricey. Smokey in the lobby areas. In all, a great value.

I have stayed at many of the hotels in Reno when I travel for business but have found the GS the best. On weekdays you can't find a better room for a better price anywhere.

If yours is a short visit to Reno to see clients, I can't think of a more central location. Right next door to the airport, friendly staff, clean and full of amenities that make your stay a pleasant one. The fluffy towels in the bathroom, the great coffee machines and for a woman traveler, a lighted mirror in the bathroom! Heaven. "Good Experience"
Overall, the hotel was an excellent choice. Some construction going on at ground floor level, but when finished, should make the hotel top notch. The choice of resturants is excellent and are centrualy located as well as staffed by friendly personel.
"Recent stay at GSR in Reno, NV"
The hotel is currently under going major renovations which ones has to avoid during their stay. The 24-hr cafe was closed during my two day stay which was a major pain. The bathroom was clean but needs to be updated/repaired. The wall paper was peeling off the wall the the tub needs to be recaulked.

"Big but slightly out dated room"
Pics for the rooms aren't even close to the room I had but still decent for the price. Think the ones in the tower might be renovated. My room was really large but noticed the one across the hall was a typical hotel size. Could use some updating but nothing too bad. Hotel is definitely isolated.
"Very Easy to get to"
This was one of the best times I've had recently. The front desk was perfect. Our bellman was courteous. Even with the remodeling, we had a good time. Food was excellent. Cannot say enough about how great the weekend was.

By far the best hotel in Reno. Plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied. The over all atmosphere of the hotel is great. Can't wait go back.

We always enjoy our stay at the Grand Sierra Resort. It is our fist choice of hotels when we go to Reno. They often even give us complimentary upgrades! Many choices to eat, kid friendly (we always go bowling), and good customer service.

Hi readers We've been staying at the Grand Sierra for 3 years and we enjoy are stay every time. We love the view from the rooms, convenient parking,they check you in with a timely manner and a smile. So yes I give the Grand Sierra a four star rating.
"Not for a quick stop"
There is a resort fee of $12 for staying. So. If you are just looking for a quick over night look somewhere else. The restaurants inside are expensive. The rooms do not have coffee. I would prefer a place with a complimentary breakfast. If you have a lot of stuff in your car the valet is a good option to have. Otherwise the hotel was ok.

This is a great hotel in Reno if you have kids. They have lots of activities (smoke free) for kids and is a very safe environment. Great hotel plenty of things to do even if you don't gamble.... Been going there for years when I'm visiting Reno that's my stop. Only issue I've had was my last visit I asked for a room with a good view of the strip and was told none where available... Funny my brother in law was next in line and he got a room with a view !
