This is a great hotel with wonderful access to many of London's attractions by foot. High price buys you a nice address. Could probably spend less and get an equally accepatable location.

The Mayfair Millennium Hotel has an outstanding location in one of the poshest and most historic sections of that great city. It is located on Grosvenor Square, opposite the American Embassy. Being adjacent to a large leafy park in the middle of frantic London is a bonus. President Rosevelt's statue holds a prominent place in the park too - it's kind of welcoming for an American. The hotel itself is very comfortable, immaculate, the service utterly firstrate without being stuffy. I called Housekeeping to ask for foam-rubber bed pillows and they were smilingly supplied in minutes. The food was very good, well-prepared and the dining room comfortable. There's a well-outfitted business center and two cozy bars. The reception staff gave me a courtesy upgrade, large room on the park which was much appreciated. London hotels are so expensive but this one is worth the money at hotel.com's rates. Eazy walk to Park Lane and the London tour buses, and the classic Grosvenor House and Dorchester are hotels nearby. A very good value.

For the money, this is one of the best hotels and locations in London. Mayfair is a lovely area, and you are just a few blocks away from the Bond Street station. I have stayed at this hotel for many years, and if you look around you can usually find a good deal. It is quiet and peaceful since it is on Grosvenor Square.

The staff were great. The room was so comfortable and luxurious. The location was excellent. It was so nice to be able to walk around, even at night, feeling you were in a safe area.We did not eat at the hotel as we met family there and it would have been rather pricey for us all, but there were lots of really nice little cafes, bistros and excellent pubs very near. We will definitely return.

Comentado por un huésped de Hoteles.com el may 21, 2009.
I’ve been to London on quite a few business trips, this was a first trip with my wife and the hotel turned out to be an excellent choice for a romantic gateway. Posh and well-kept with service that compares well to good US hotels, this place was a clear step up from four-star business hotels in the City. Location is perfect for visiting attractions, nightlife and theater while staying in a quiet part of Mayfair. An excellent full English breakfast included with the rate was served in a good hotel restaurant and was a bargain for the extra few bucks it added to the rate. If you’re not familiar with London, Mayfair is home to most large embassies and is a short walk from Soho, Piccadilly and Hyde Park and within two miles from tourist attractions such as Buckingham palace, Westminster Abbey, House of Parliament & 10 Downing street. • Pros: Hotel quality, Location, Service. • Cons: Like in any good hotel be prepared to pay top price for extras - phone calls, internet, drinks at the hotel bar, etc.

The Millennium Hotel is a very nice, upscale hotel located in Mayfair district. Walking distance to all main shopping areas (Oxford, New Bond street) and parks (Green, St. James, Hyde). We have a room facing the square, nice view especially in the morning. The room is clean and well-decorated and much larger than I expected. Even though the bathroom is a bit small (based on american standard), it has all the amentities. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and families.

Comentado por Wendy, deBellevue, el may 4, 2009
Conveniently located in the tres chic chic Mayfair neighborhood, the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair did not dissappoint. We selected the double-standard room which suited our needs. Be prepared as hotel rooms in London are fairly small. Ours was clean and quiet. We selected a room-type that included a full English breakfast in the rate...which is highly recommended. The breakfast was a buffett and well appointed with traditional breakfast fare. We enjoyed the breakfast as it allowed us to fill up in the morning so that we could skip lunch...thus, saving us quite a few pounds in meals. One point to be extremely cognizant of is to not use the in-room telephone to make phone calls. The calls are extremely expensive. If you must use the in-room phone, make sure the front desk fills out the VAT tax information for the "non-essential" service on your final bill so that you can be redeemed for the exorbarant tax that is tacked onto it. The hotel itself is situated next to Grosvenor park which has a large memorial to the Eagle Co. servicemen that died in WWII and a huge statue of Roosevelt. The park is well kept with nice benches to relax on after a long walk about the town. The US and Canadian embassies are within walking distance as well.

My daughter & I spent just one night at this hotel, having stayed there previously we think the location is great for a quick shopping trip- Oxford St, Bond St & Regent St.. Our standard twin room was spotless, although not huge, we had all we needed. Breakfast (included in room rate) was pleasant & leisurely (we were not in a rush) with plenty of choice. Check in & out was really easy. We left our bags with the concierge on the Saturday morning just calling back for them on our way home in the evening. Excellent value for money, a high grade hotel at a reasonable price & most of all superb location.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this hotel. We found all staff extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bedroom and ensuite were spotlessly clean and very spacious. The hotel is in an excellent location with a small park in front of it. Oxford Street is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Bond Street Station is about 5 mins walk from the hotel. The only negative is that the bar/restaurant are extremely expensive. However there are plenty cafes and restaurants nearby.

Hotel located in the heart of rich Mayfair suburb of London. The room was adequate in size, however a piece of the carpet was coming up and there was loose tile in the bathroom. Not as good as I was expecting. Also beware that many London restaurants, bars and hotels are adding on an optional 12.5% gratuity. I almost fell for this and then left another tip. Beware, tipping is not the same as it is in the US.

My friend and I shared a twin room to keep the cost down but got a great room rate from this site anyway. The hotel was clean, efficient and centrally located for our shopping and feasting weekend. Short walking distance to Oxford street. The room was as we expected for a four star. We were able to book in early and the staff were very courteous. We didn't have breakfast or eat in the restaurant but we did partake of the room service drinks and the bar - expensive but this is central london. The loos were nice.

We had a generally good 8-night experience. Our room was not ready at check-in time and we sat in the lobby for an hour. I finally had to stand at the check-in counter to get attention and somehow the manager found a room. He excused the problem by saying "housekeeping was very slow" Our room was OK, but I had to be careful moving near the window to avoid hitting my head on the sloped ceiling (which I did a few times). Seventh floor front. Our sink drain was on the verge of clogging, and the bath could have used some mildew removal - but not as bad as most. Daily room service was excellent. The bar and restaurant were way to pricey for us, but there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs with walking distance. A five minute walk to the Bond Street Underground. But compared to other hotels we have stayed in around the UK, this was appreciably nicer, very clean, a pleasant and helpful staff, fantastic location between the US and Canadian embasssies.

It is hoped that a weekend stay in Mayfair will be special. However, to achieve the level of satisfaction anticipated, all elements of the stay must work. In this case our memories are spoilt by the most awful and poor value breakfast it has ever been our misfortune to experience. It was qualitatively compromised - tasteless fresh fruit; dried up sausage, bacon etc; weak, tasteless coffee, no toast - and all for 21 UK pounds! Dreadful and not to be recommended.

Great location. Close to American Embassy, shopping, tube, dining, and parks. Very safe area as well. Hotel good value for the price we paid, but could use a little upgrading in the rooms. Currency exchange at front desk very expensive as was internet access (25 pounds/day, when I could get free at other hotels). Overall, good value for price -- watch for price of extra service charges beyond room though.

We were attending a wedding at the Grosvenor House Hotel, this hotel was a mere 2 minute walk away. The staff were friendly, there was an excellent atmosphere in the bar and the rooms were lovely and well equipped. All rooms have Queen-sized beds. We discussed how to smuggle the bed out of the hotel, wthout being caught but decided that we would just have to return again. The sleep we had was wonderful. The bed was more comfortable than wthe one we sleep in at home. We are looking to go back again for a romantic night out soon. Having read the reviews on this hotel, we decided to look at the breakfast prior to ordering. It looked a bit average so we ate elsewhere.

We booked this hotel to stay in after we saw The Lion King in Covent Garden. It was the cheapest we could find and a small distance from Covent Garden however it is right next to Bond Street Station, and Covent Garden was only 2 tube stops away so very easy to get to! This hotel looked lovely both outside and inside. There was a lovely view of the outside of the hotel from the park, and the lobby was beautiful. The hotel inside looked very posh, and the staff were very helpful in assisting us with 'checking in'. Our room was very clean and lovely however it was a little on the small side- that was perhaps because of the size of the bed! Queen sized bed was absolutely massive!! And oh so comfortable! :) The bath was small, but the shower was powerful. We had to ring Housekeeping for an iron & ironing board which was supposed to be in our room, however they were very polite & brought one up straight away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
