This hotel is a must if you wish to stay somewhere which is modern, clean and luxurious. Check-in was quick...was given a free rewards card to use at any Radisson Edwardian. The room was average size, not sure I could stay in it for a week, was only there for one night, the bed was lovely and comfortable however. The bar in the hotel is the new "hot spot" for celebs...not that I saw any on my Friday night stay, but it sure was busy and very atmospheric. Hotel is across the road to Nobu where I dined, and is next door to Green Park tube station, so is in easily located and accessible. Would definately stay again.

It was not the fault of the hotel, but the two nights that I stayed there, there were loud, boorish guest traveling the hallways at all hours of the night. I was awakened several times during both nights with multiple other guest talking, laughing, yelling in the hallways. No respect for other guests. Again, not the hotel's fault but I would rather stay where the other guests are a bit more concerned for their fellow guest. Other than that, the hotel and room was clean and well cared for but I did not feel that the price paid (even with Hotels.com involved) gave that much additional service. My stay was OK but there are certainly better values and better locations to be had for the casual traveler.

The only negative aspect of the May Fair Hotel was the lack drawer space and the room was a little on the small side for a 5* establishment.

Very nice hotel, especially considering the low cost. However, it could use another 3 elevators as there was always a long wait for an elevator. We had a hard time getting staff to answer the phone, and we had just gotten settled into our room with our pajamas on when a fire alarm caused an evacuation down 11 flights of stairs. That could have had something to do with our inability to get staff to answer a phone, but we never found out what the alarm was all about. Maybe it was just one of those things.....

On checking into this hotel we were told that they have over booked and did not have a room for us! We were told that we would be booked into the hotel's sister hotel on Tottenham Court Road. After much debating and 35 minutes later we were able to sort out the room situation with the guest relations manager who was very apologetic and promised to sort out a room for us and sorted out drinks for us in the bar. We were also given complementary breakfast the following morning. Notwithstanding this hiccup we were very impressed with the hotel and loved the location very close to Picadilly

room comfortable and roomy for central London and good value. breakfast buffet delicious and relatively efficient and speedy if you are in a hurry. Great bar.

I chose this hotel as a treat for myself and my partner. Although pricey it lived up to my expectations. We did expect a bit more from the selection of movies and compensation for disturbing our sleep with the fire alarm but overall it was ok for the price. The food in the Amba restaurant was good but again pricey. The staff were courteous and attended to us promptly.

Loved everything about this hotel except that I had no option for bar soap. Only liquid bathing soap supplied. Left there to stay at the Hilton for a meeting. Paid double the price of Mayfair and got half the service with rude receptionists! Should have stayed at Mayfair the whole time!!

Superb concierge service Front desk staff as well as bellmen so courteous, gracious and accomodating In fact, outstanding service across the board Perfect location Room spotless; nightly turndown service Love the "light" denoting room occupied or service needed Missing touches for such a classy hotel: -chocolate/flower/elegant note with a quotation or even weather report for next day on pillow -room in refrigerator for water -biscuits with the tea/coffee and artificial sweetner missing

This was an excellent hotel with great customer service. The room was a great size and it was very clean and had everything we needed throughout our stay. There was a starbucks right around the corner and we could walk to new bond street and to picadilly circus and tons of other nice restaurants in the area. definitely recommend!

My room was not ready until 4pm. Several guests experienced this problem. Without any complaining from me, however, the front desk person comp'd me tea and scones in the lounge while I waited. Overall, it ended up OK. The concierges are very nice and very helpful.

I really don't even know what to say. As the cab that had been hailed for me was no more than 5 feet away a bellman leapt in front of me and put someone else's bags in the taxi. He didn't even provide an explanation until confronted. Then he made up a lie about this taxi accepting credit cards, which was nonsense as the next one did as well (i paid with credit card and still have the receipt). When I emailed the manager upon my return, he bought the bellman's story, and ended the email with we look forward to seeing you again.... THERE ARE LOTS OF GOOD HOTELS IN LONDON...AVOID THIS ONE AT ALL COSTS!!!!

We stayed at this hotel as were in London for a gig in Hyde Park. It was a great location for Hyde Park but also for sightseeing in general. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when we rolled in around midnight in our festival scruffies!! The hotel facilities were very good, great bar and food and excellent check in/out service. If i had to have one moan it was that in the bedroom I couldn't find a plug near a mirror for my straightners!

Nice hotel in a good spot but the neighborhood has gotten very very loud and the hotel has a lot of functions all the time in the lobby and the party rooms which makes the place a real zoo most of the time. When you're in your room it's okay, but the time getting to your room and waiting for the elevator is not all that pleasant. It's a good hotel but not a great one my any stretch..

This hotel exceeded our expectations relative to quality for the money in a London hotel. This is a 5-star hotel in the heart of the high class neighborhood of Mayfair, with easy access to the Tube, the tour buses, shopping, Buckingham Palace, etc. The rooms were typical European size, but very well decorated and and supplied. B&O flat screen, recessed lighting, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

The Mayfair hotel was exceptional. Great service, friendly staff and in a perfect location, 30 seconds from the tube station and very central to everything. I will be returning.

Fabulous hotel in a great location!! Walk to the tube, fine dining, cafes and night life. Could not ask for a better location. The hotel itself was first rate, there were actually Paparazzi camped outside the hotel all the time as it's frequented by the rich and famous and it had a lively happy hour scene. The rooms were very generous in size and the bathrooms were divine!

This hotel was in the middle of it all. The staff were wonderful and the bar has a happening night life. The Spa is wonderful, but you need to book in advance in order to assure that they can accomodate you. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room was wonderfully cushy and modern. Bed was very comfortable and after a grueling week of travel, that was more than welcome & important! Restaurant downstairs was excellent for dinner, but service for breakfast was slow. Other than that, all was wonderful.

excellent hotel in a wonderful section of town. Convenient location, nice amenities. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

We chose the Mayfair for its Modern look and feel. Right from the start it turned out to be a great choice.

It is a lovely hotel with great art in the lobby, a helpful staff, a nice bar, and a central location with easy access to everything. There is a grocery store close by which was also very handy. My only slight complaint would be a funny smell in the bathroom which otherwise was very nice.

Not Perfect, but close - we had several fire alarm waking residents early in the morning one day caused by system malfunction, the elevators were slow, and our shower drain was slow to empty but otherwise a great place to stay in a fabulous location. Very traveler friendly with both US & UK electrical plugs in the bathroom and by the desk/table. Good sized room - would recommend asking for a low floor so stairs can be used as the elevators can be slow during busy times. Room was quite spacious by London standards.

I woudl recommend this hotel to anyone. Could not fault anything. Use the spa if you get chance, Great. Will be going back in Summer

We loved the hotel. The service was great. The location and neighborhood were perfect. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Extremely large rooms, especially for London, comfy beds and good amenities, but it's form over function in the bathrooms. Very modern, sleek, new bathrooms but the design is not practical. Everything is very low. The sinks are so low and there are no towel bars except for the towel heaters so although it looks great, it's not very practical. Bang and Olsen TV, comfy bed

Odd thing, hotel looks great, has an excellent location, breakfast is fine but the rest of the bits do not fit togeather well. Staff were a bit disorganised and though on the surface okay seemed to not know their job very well. Ten minutes to book in, no door on bathroom, 15 minute wait for table in half filled restaurant for breakfast, tried to charge for pre-paid breakfast, etc. Got the feeling of that 'well you are lucky to stay with us beautiful people and you ordered through a website...what do you expect scrubber' It was fine but not a five star experience. I've stayed in more comfortable hotels around there but maybe not as flashy. Mid-week may be better with less people. Maybe we just were not skinny and flash enough....you pay for location

Ignore the bad reviews. I consider myself well traveled both domestically in the U.S. and internationally. I have stayed at multiple 5 star hotels and can appreciate a good value. I stayed in a King Deluxe and the room was a great size considering it was in Europe. It would easily be comfortable for two people. My room didn't have the best view, but then why would you go to London to stay in the room??? Great location and many great things are withing walking distance. There's a grocery store across the street, a great little alley behind the hotel with multiple breakfast options, another grocery store 2 blocks away by the Green Park tube underground and both Hyde and St James' park are within walking distance. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the showers hot. I would recommend this hotel!

Great hotel in a great location.

London in the off season is such a great deal if you hit decent weather and this hotel is the perfect place to stay if you go. Located very close to the tube you are within 2-3 stops of many of London's great places to visit. The hotel itself is amazing. Ultramodern meets traditional English design with plenty of room to spread out after a long day in the city. I would highly recommend this hotel and will look forward to staying here on my next visit to London.

we flew in from the US and were extremely tired after the flight. The hotel room was awesome and the bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept in. the bathroom was large and luxurious. all in all, a great place for a night or two.

I stayed in The Mayfair Hotel in Jan 09, this is the first time. I stayed in Deluxe Room with King Size bed. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in EUROPE (with the same price range). Very spacious room and super convenient location, where you can walk to Bond Street and Oxford St in 10-15 mins. Taking taxi around the city often costs below GBP10.- I am a rather "picky" person, and still rate The Mayfair Hotel a 10/10. No regrets and will definitely come back. It made my London trip this time so different!!

Really nice hotel, spacious rooms, beautiful bathroom, clean and very nicely decorated. The hotel is within walking distance to oxford street and hyde park plus loads of good restaurants and bars. We would love to stay again and the highlight for me was seeing the actor who plays the priminister in little Britain in the hotel!

Hotel is 10 Minute walk from Piccadilly Circus and right by Green Park Tube stop. Very convenient location for exploring London. Room was small but very nice. Bathroom was large and had changing/storage space. Internet was free via wifi. The May Fair is in a nice upscale neighborhood if you are looking for good shopping, however there were only low end cafes (Starbucks, etc) or Upscale restaurants (Nobu, etc). Not much mid-range fare within walking distance. But those places were only a tube stop away. Would definitely stay here again.

the moment we got off the tube, there were no hesitaions to where we would find the hotel when we got there we greeted by a very friendly doorman and the reception people were very welcoming the room was amazing we couldn't believe it the location was amazing withing walking distance of everything and prices at the hotel were good we can't wait to go back

Except for a small problem with the elevator one night, this hotel was perfect. Everything was impeccable, the staff very efficient and friendly and always helpful. Our room was very big and although this was the basic room it felt like luxury to us. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in... just perfect. Situated close to the Green Park Underground it was so easy to get everywhere. The area is one of the best in London and long walks at night were very pleasant as well. I can't wait to go back.
