Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel - Toronto 43.65126, -79.38397

Stayed here 12/25-12/29/09 and received an amazing bargain. Rooms were nicely sized and we had a great view of city hall and the skating rink.Hotel only offers complimentary internet in their lobby which is a drag. There are not enough computers to go around. If you have a lap top bring it since you can pick up the free internet in the lobby. Parking is outrageous but city lot is right across the street so just park there. Food court on premises had the oddest hours- never knew if and/or when it would be open and/or which restaurants would open.. The hotel food prices were high(and also not all hotel restaurants were open due to holidays-Xmas and Boxing Day.) These two consecutive holidays really impacted finding restaurants in walking distance. The concierage also had wierd hours and was not always helpful. One concierage said she was not supposed to recommend restaurants out of the downtown are!. Clearly, that made no sense. The hotel was great due to the rate, not sure its worth it at the higher price it gets at other times. I would certainly return for the rate we paid. For breakfast/lunch- walk to Eggspectations for an interesting menu.

Was at the hotel on business, had a beer at the bar / restaurant in the lobby and was shocked at the price of a beer. The Labatts was priced in at CAD 7.50..ok not so bad, but if you had a Keiths Pale Ale, youre looking at a CAD 11.00 price tag on the beer. Prob best to look for a drink elsewhere where it is more reasonable. Otherwise the hotel is excellent!

Beautiful property. First Rate. Extras are outrageously exopensive. (800 call cost $2.10)

With the exception of the lobby, which was elegant, comfortable and dramatic, this hotel is in need of major renovation. The dowdy plaid wallpaper, smudged and dirty light switches in the bathroom, shabby desk chair and lack of wireless service in the room were all kind of depressing. Nevertheless, the service was wonderful.

Location is everything. Great location.

I got a very good deal for this 4 start hotel. The hotel location is great and is located between two subway station and right opposite to the City Hall. The room was great and the staff was very helpful. Only complaint - Parking in the hotel is very expensive but I parked in the City Hall underground public parking lot across the street for half the price. Using internet from lobby using your laptop or from internet stations in the lobby is free but be prepared to pay good money to access it from your room.

The hotel was very very good. The breadkast brought to my room was outstanding. I wish I could buy the mattress and pillows that I slept on. I will always use this hotel.

Nice hotel, comfortable room, great location. Bottom floor opens right onto Toronto's PATH (pedestrian walkway) corridors. Several restaurants right outside the hotel (highly recommend The Keg Steakhouse). Hotel only has limited valet parking for $40/day; recommend using the public parking next to the hotel on York St ($25/day) or the City Hall parking opposite the hotel on Queens St West.

Great location would stay here again, good service.

Overall, the Sheraton Centre Toronto was an excellent choice. Although this is a four star hotel, the price was comparable to two and three star locations due to the fact that I booked at the last minute. It was conveniently located and central to all the tourist sites. The parking was a little steep but that seemed to be the case with all hotels downtown. The staff was attentive and pleasant.

Avoid this hotel. We were booked for 5 nights, 2 x Sheraton Club Rooms. We endured 3 room changes in 3 nights, due to a) excessive noise - they subsequently admitted that they never put anyone in that particular room - but they were prepared to put us in there for 5 nights! - b) total failure of aircon - at 34C, 96% humidity! etc). To get anything done, we eventually had to go to the General Manager; despite even this, we ending up constantly chasing the Sheraton staff, rather than them looking after us, as Customers. Took the shine right off 4 out of 5 days stay in Toronto. Toronto is an amazing place, if you want a fantastic Toronto experience, stay at the Marriott

Room was very comfortable, and it has a very nice pool and gym. It is in the middle of very good restaurants and clubs. CN tower and lake are closeby.

It was a great location. The overall amenities and hotel facilities were excellent and the staff was helpful. The rooms were just a step or two above what I might consider average but overall I have no complaints.

My stay was exceptional. The only issue I had was the temperature in the room fluctuated quite a bit and was hard to control. Otherwise everything was superb!

Hotel room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Park across the street at City Hall underground parking to save money. The best part is Yonge street shopping, restaurants, and the subway station are all within easy walking distance.

While the location was great, allowing us to easily walk to whatever we wanted to see, nothing extra was given. We had to pay for each local phone call, as well as internet access, which is not the average with hotels these days. Considering the price of the nights we stayed there, I would have assumed these things would be included. While parking is available at the hotel, it was so expensive we felt forced to find our own parking, which luckily is not hard in that area.

This was our third stay at the Sheraton, and we would probably stay there again. The Sheraton is very central and within very easy walking distance of the Eaton Centre, the entertainment district, the baseball and Yonge Street. It is close to the subway for longer outings..The gym in the hotel is well equipped, and the pool was a perfect temperature - no shivery dips ! My only negative comment would be regarding the making of the beds which was very poorly done and when remaking them I noticed blood stains on the undersheet.

food court restaurants close at 6PM,they do have a bar/restaurant,$58.00 for a draft beer and cheeseburger for 2 people.

The hotel was at a great location. The room for the price you get is in the old tower which is extremely smelly and dirty. the elevators are very slow, not clean. The AC unit in the room is old and too loud. I would never go back.

Great rooms lobby and staff, though the hallways are a little tired. The location can't be beat. Right on Queen St for exploring and shopping, across from the City Hall where we saw a wonderful art expo. Great trip at a great price thanks to Hotels.com

Overall the hotel was nice and well located. But the service level was not as good as expected. Desk people were good but the rest of the service people can use some training on the definition of service. Not what I expected from this quality of hotel.

Really clean hotel with very friendly staff. It's what you would expect at a big hotel like the Sheraton. I only wish they had a 24-hour convenience store or vending machines with food as you have to walk a bit to reach an actual deli in the middle of the night [but I live in NY and enjoy the conveniences of 24-hour stores and service].

The rooms were wonderful: clean, well-stocked with towels, coffee, tea. The location was great, too, within walking distance to Chinatown for dinner and Eaton Centre, too. My biggest complaint is that the pool is indoor/outdoor (a glass wall seperates it to about two feet above the water), so on a day that the air temperature was 62 F, the pool water and enclosure was FREEZING! Very disappointing to my daughter, since she could only stay in for 15 minutes before her lips were blue.

We were disappointed with the quality of the service and food in the hotel facilities for the price we paid.

We had a wonderful experience, the car valet area was a bit frantic when we arrived but overall our stay was great.

Very average hotel. The smoke smell was so bad in my non smoking room I had to move rooms.

Considering Easter holiday week-end the Hotel management did good job; I requested room in the high towe, but I got in the shorter tower -- I still couldn't figure out the reason, I believe rooms were still on hand. Valet parking price $ 40:00 per day is high.

After a woman made repeated attempts to enter our room at 3 am, she finally got herself into the room across the hall. She received a steady stream of gentlemen callers until we complained at 6 am at which time they all vacated the room.

When planning my first trip to Toronto I asked many of my friends for hotel recommendations. Most suggested the Sheraton and I would agree, for the overall location, price and services it is a good choice for a first stay.
